Just gorgeous :yahoo:!!! Look at that sheen, and the brides de gala scarf is beautiful with them too. Have fun wearing them, it's a very good decision; you'll never get tired of them, i'm sure!

Congratulations Roo and pamella aren't they gorgeous and the smell is so mmmmmm..........................mmmm!
Mine took a littlle while to break in (it was a bit like walking in wellies made out of cement at first - not a good look) :push: as I have got slim feet and skinny ankles, but they are fine now and I love them, they're such a classic!
:smile1:

Esmeh- my story exactly today when I wore them for the first time. I,too, have slim
feet and skinny ankles. I am wearing a heavy sock and I may put a heel lift in, until
they are broken in. Actually, they are already feeling better. I just love them so much
too.!

^^^Congrats Pamella! The heel-lift works perfect for me too; it gives me a much better fit and adds that extra little bit of hight (which is always good I suppose, lol )

:yahoo: Woo Hoo!! So thrilled for you Roo! How beautiful! Congratulations and
I know we made the right decision!! Don't you just "love" the leather smell
when you took them out of the box!!! Wear them in good health, dear Roo!

Pamella so happy that I found them, and couldn't be happier that we are sharing them this weekend!

These have got to be the best boots for day that I've found yet! They just lift everything you were with them!

So yes, it's been a long process - and I'd weighed just about every option - and yes - delighted with my final decision!

The greatest thanks of all goes to all of those wonder ladies who had taken time to share their experiences and photographs to aided in this decision - ladies - thank you all! :D

Good idea to wear a thick sock, pamella, sort of cushions the boney bits on feet and ankles a bit!

I wore mine around the house, at first, to break them in and sometimes in the evening I would pop a pair of thick, soft socks on and then sit and watch TV in them, with PJs on as well, of course!!
Needless to say, the curtains were well drawn and I did not answer the door ! :nogood:
It worked though; apparently your feet are slightly larger at the end of the day, and the warmth from the socks helped to soften the leather too and put my shape into them, without too much pain, if you know what I mean.

I have treated the soles with a product called Sole Guard which weather proofs them, you apply 2 or 3 coats at first and then re-apply according to how often you wear them. It seems to work well.

I'm sure yours will be fine soon, as you said each time you wear them, they are more comfortable, soon they'll be like gloves :D

These are beautiful boots. Whenever I purchase a new pair of expensive shoes/boots that I intend to wear a lot, I always have my shoe person put an additional layer of rubberized material on the heels and half the soles. Not only does this extend the life and make the bottoms less slippery, it is much more comfortable to walk on vs. plain leather.
