TB has better statistics, was I think the 200th draft pick in the 6th round., Really showed all those teams that passed him up, how good he is. Free agency has really affected the game, not so during Joe's era. TB has made great receivers out of no names.
TB came back from 10 point deficit to win a SB in the 4th quarter.
Joe had the best wide receiver ever to play the game--Jerry Rice. Jerry Rice recently admitted using stickum which was banned in 1981. Is that like deflategate?
Look what Steve Young did --He broke Montana's single-season records for passer rating and completion percentage and he doesn't even get a mention in the top 10 probably.
Joe and TB--QB more protected now, Joe definitely took more hits than TB ever will. Probably reason why Joe had back surgery. Joe played a SB with the flu, think he even had a fever and vomiting before the game.


I think in the end as much I like Joe better than TB, TB the better QB.

You are right, this one gets debated a lot. Ironically, TB usually votes for Joe! Probably because he was a Joe fan his whole life.

Neither Montana or Rice went high in the draft - and Rice came from a completely unknown school. And remember the 2 Superbowl TDs in the final few minutes? It was so wonderful knowing that as long as we had Joe and he had 2 minutes, we would likely win!

But I'm a lifelong Niners fan and there was nothing like those years for us - Joe is a god!! (Young, uh...no)
