I love Tom Brady... lol
I don't care for his wife, but sometimes marriages just don't work out.
He is not going to be done with sports just because he retires, so if she is not happy, he won't be happy with her-just generally speaking... if you gotta go, you gotta go... don't waste anymore time, because TB is not ever going to retire from what he loves doing, and why should he or anyone (unless you are a serial killer/criminal of course.)
However, don't need to be petty about it publicly, if you want to say something make sure it doesn't hurt your career or the way people perceive you, they are both famous- liking a post can decrease the brand of their name...

It reminds me of the stereotype of the girl who falls in love with a guy because he plays in a band. Then after he marries her, she wants him to quit the band so he can spend his evenings and weekends with her and the kids. She comes to resent the very reason she fell in love with him in the first place.

It’s that scenario on a multi million dollar scale. Does anyone believe Gisele would have given Tom a second glance if he wasn’t at the pinnacle of his field?

I don’t think you’re giving him enough credit for being the beautiful specimen of a man that he is. But I did always think it was weird that she married someone so classically American as a star football player who would be tied down to one place by his career. As opposed to marrying a man who could travel and live a more glamorous/international lifestyle that she was accustomed to.

Same. Like she probably initially thought it was cool to be dating him and then marry him, but she probably underestimated that his entire life is football. Makes me wonder if she's spent years convincing herself that his career wouldn't last overly long (injury, age, whatever) and she has finally figured out that he will never leave it behind. Once he is done playing he'll either take a job with a team as a coach, scout, assistant coach, or with a TV station as an announcer. Not sure why she never paid attention to any other former pro sports players doing the same thing. Even moreso when they are superstars in their sport.

Exactly, he has already signed a 10 year deal to be a network announcer for games on Fox. He’ll be paid more than anyone else. Tom is never leaving football of his own volition. She underestimated his love of the sport.

This is what I've been saying a while ago. They don't have that much in common, except success and beauty. They don't really know each other well and they are not soulmates. This marriage isn't very solid even if both parties worked really hard, which I'm sure they did.

I wish them the best in co-parenting and excelling in whatever their future endeavors may be. They work better un-coupled rather than together. It's the kids who need the most help/ love.

I don’t think Tom would ever make an announcement without discussing it with his family first.

I’m starting to wonder if she leaked something to the press before they went away for a family vacation? Or perhaps she spoke to a close family/friend who leaked it for her?
Media reports Tom is retiring (not Tom), Tom comes back from vacation and finds out he’s retired. Then he’s pressured into making a decision himself upon his return from vacation..

Other than having children, I really feel Tom wants to "define" his life constantly. He finds meaning through his work.

Could be they haven't been really talking or listening to each other for a long time. Could be that Tom knew Giselle would not approve, hence he would have to choose between his work and his wife/ kids. So he kept his mouth shut. Sometimes the person you're with, is the one person who cannot celebrate success with you. ...

It wasn’t exactly a random inspirational quote, it seems like a setup. I looked up Jay Shetty and found a Gisele connection. He’s had her as a guest on his podcast at least a couple of times and he’s helped her promote her book. If you watch him interviewing her here he’s definitely a Gisele fanboy friend. :rolleyes:
