Wow!! You did a fantastic job! It's beautiful. Hey, my husband turned me on to this leather conditioner called "Waximum" which DOES darken leathers evenly! So you still have some hope here. I've used it on vintage bags and wow it really evens out coloring.

That might work! I always avoid leather care products that say "may darken leather" but since this bag has some fading and uneven color - darkening might be a good thing!

OP, you might try buying a leather care oil or other product that says "may darken leather" and apply it in an unseen spot to see how it looks before putting it on the rest of the bag.

Again, nice job!

Thanks everyone! I definitely have maximum on my "to buy" list but as picky as I can sometimes be....the pocket isn't bothering me. I think maybe because you can't notice it all the time?? Not sure. I'm just so pleased that I brought her back to life!

Wil do. My thread is the rehab project needs help on the Coach main pg right now. Check it out. Any advice is welcome. The water spots or ink spots are battling it out to see which stain can be the most stubborn.

I did see that thread. The saddle soap that I used was a miracle worker on the water stains......or what I assume was water stains. Luckily the Gigi didn't have any individual stains such as ink. I did read during my searches that different leathers may react differently to each product so test in a small unnoticeable area first. It's time consuming because then I would give each and every test a day to dry. It took a lot of patience when I was so anxious to fix it! In the end, I learnt that leather is more durable than I thought, it was a great learning experience.

That's good advice...thank you very much.
