My first Gucci bag, Marmont Mini Flap in black also my first black bag because I always go for colors.
I own 3 small Marmont bags (red, green & purple) and have used them frequently in the last 6 months without any issues with corner wear. The only thing that I have noticed is that I have some wrinkling on the front of the bag from stretching out the leather with my items. A friend purchased a red small Marmont bag from a reseller though and the reseller had touched up the corners with some red dye and that dye wore off within a few uses. (Not sure if you purchased your bag from the boutique or a reseller so I thought I would share just in case.)
I bought the larger camera bag a few years back (also dusty rose). I recently sold it... but missed the perfect nude color. So I just repurchased the Marmont, but the small flap this time.... & I got a $450 promo gift card. Thanks, Saks!

Me too! Every time I've checked recently, Gucci was excluded... but I noticed that it was included in the promo last week! So I jumped on it.... It's as if it were meant to be w/ my other bag selling when it did
I think when it's money off, Gucci is excluded... but I got a gift card for my next purchase (spend $2,000 - get $450) - but the gift card would have worked on my second Gucci bag! instead I got a Saint Laurent w/ the gc though - thinking about exchanging for the Ophidia ....if only the chain bag would stop being on pre-order

The velvet is so luxurious & classy. I esp LOVE the burgundy wine color. It's by far my favorite in the velvet series. The leather is classic & can be worn for many years to come. So effortless & can go with every outfit.
Personally, I have a small nude flap & black supermini - both leather. I want a velvet one, but my lifestyle at the moment is more casual chic... If I add another to my collection, it will def be the burgundy mini velvet
Also, you should consider what your handbag collection currently looks like - have you been collecting for many yrs. with more bags than you have space for in your closet or are you just starting to grow your lovely collection? If you already have similar style leather bags, then definitely velvet. But if not...+1 vote for leather
I would recommend getting the leather if you want it to be an every day bag. The velvet is more delicate and not as hard wearing. Velvet will show more wear than leather and will show wear quicker than leather. If you’d like to learn more about the differences, I would recommend watching YouTube videos that discuss the wear on velvet and comparisons between how the leather and velvet wear.

Hello. I have the Gucci marmont in small black and I love it. It was an unexpected present from my partner and would never have spent that much on myself before. Find it great for dressed up and casual. Really want a nude to add to my collection but cant decide if it is worth saving myself for the same bag in nude or getting the Gucci disco Soho which I have long admired. Does anyone have both and can anyone share their advice? What are thoughts on longetivity of the two designs in terms of style and durability? Thanks [emoji846]
The nude Marmont flap is such a pretty nude - it's actually my favorite nude out of all the designer bags being produced right now. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Disco at all. That's just my personal preference. So, I would get another flap or even the Marmont camera bag in the bigger size!
But if you love the Disco & want a more casual bag, go for it! Or consider the Marmont flap. Bonus, these two bags are $1,190 (Disco) & $1,290 (Marmont camera) vs. $1,980 (small Marmont flap). So, that's also a factor to potentially consider! Keep us posted on what you decide!!!
Love your whole look. [emoji7] I personally vote for Soho. I own 2. Love that bag and the shade of nude is absolutely perfect. Plus, it is it a bit less pricey.
