Getting newer bags ghw plated?

I've seen the prices for getting your ghw replated floating somewhere around here, and I'm wondering if anyone has gotten their newer ghw bags without the stamp gold plated by Chanel?

I'm just IN LOVE with ghw but disappointed that whatever I get new at the store won't be gold plated. I would, however, pay extra if I could send newer non-plated pieces in to Chanel so they could put plated ghw on.

Anyone know if this is possible?

I am assuming you are inquiring about the classic flaps. From talking to one forum member who had hers changed, it looks like Chanel is only using non-gold plated hardware. If you have problems with yours (chipping, flaking off, etc.), it would be either redipped or replaced with a non-plated hardware.

thank God! but were their cases of hardwares(gold) of chanel bags flaking off,chipping or tarnishing?I'm a bit disturbed because I got the Gold hardware. It's a 2010 bag though. Thanks!

I think since 2008, Chanel no longer makes gold plated hw

do you know if the 2010 GST's are gold plated? And by gold plated does that mean just the CCs...or the chain as well? Thank you!
