I am mixed Chinese American/Ecuadorian and am considering getting my eyes done with a great doctor in Ecuador, I love the work he's done on friends and family but he's never worked with Asian features before ( I look predominantly Asian.) With the corona restrictions, I've decided to do school online and so I thought it might be a good chance to get some work done. Thoughts on getting ptosis adjustment with a non-asian specialist?

My country does very cheap too but I do not trust them LOL.
South Korea is better so their people I think LOL
I used to buy made in Korea 30 years ago, in USA.
A leather jacket I purchased in USA, was $100, 30 years ago made in Korea, is still excellent !

I don’t know the doctors in Ecuador, but don’t recommend it. First of all, they don’t perform this type of surgery frequently, so their skills might be rusty. Second, their aesthetics might be quite different; you can try to explain it to them but they may not understand it very well. Third, if you decide to get revision, cost will double for re-op and you will have to spend several months in mental devastation.

I've seen many of my friends who've done it in the states (even in Beverly hills) with a high cost didn't look so good because the surgeons are skilled for the non-Asian patients...in my opinion
Thank you for the response! Did they go to surgeons who claimed to be asian specialists? Cause I've consulted with a few in Beverley hills and am still considering them.

Yeah i'm definetely no longer considering it. My parents have a house in LA and I was wondering if any asian specialist PS in California is well respected?
