I think it would look great with mink, or any fur, really. The only drawback to the fox is that it is a bit harder to wear with longer hair. A smaller (flatter) piece of fur would make this a non-issue.
Mink would be a fabulous choice, silverxuan - very rich looking. And, as mistikat said, a flatter fur wouldn't interfere with longer hair.
I'd definitely try it. If you're unsure, simply pin the loops of ribbon to the collar backing and pull the scarf through to see how it will look before before you stitch them on.

Can't believe how surprised I was to see this appear once again and at the end of summer no less. But, it was a fun project, and we all had a good time, and I think quite a few old fur collars got a new life. And . . . Hermes didn't appear at my door and haul me off to jail either!I guess it's time to come up with a new little project for us.
