So far the bag looks as good as new, no scratches or scuffs. I'm actually quite surprised that there isn't any scratches on the hardware as well. (I have a Philip lim mini pashli and after just 1 wear, the hardware at the closure shows scratches)
As for the chain, I don't have any problem with it, maybe because I don't wear off shoulder tops when I'm carrying bags with chains. Hth :)

I prefer this leather to saffiano. It has a slightly mottled look, which I like.
I like the chain from an aesthetic point of view - it's elegant and not too much bling (the gold is quite subtle) and don't have to worry about the strap getting dirty. Hopefully I'll get used to the chain if I wear it more (it's not uncomfortable exactly, just I feel it's there, more so than with other crossbodies with leather straps or wider chains). I think it would be a bit difficult to replace (see the picture of the end of the chain below).

Sounds like you and your Metropolis mini are a great fit for each other! Have you considered purchasing any other flaps? Do you think they snap in place securely?

I can see the difference well in the close ups- thank you for attaching them!
I didn't consider the width of the chain to be a potential factor- that's definitely interesting. I can do thin leather straps easily if the bag is light, although chains are of course a different story. I can see the way the chain attaches to the body of the bag could be a problem, in terms of replacement...Hopefully you'll get used to it!

The snaps are very tight and secured. It's a very good quality bag. I recently ordered another black body and it's arriving soon. It's more versatile than the brown body that I own now. With that, I'll definitely buy more flaps in the near future.

Hi there! I think you really should get this mini. First of all, Furla's leather is always very beautiful. I think they named it Ares leather. I personally own 3 Furla bags and a wallet from them. I'm always very satisfied with their craftmanship and the quality of the bag in general, such as the leather, hardware, locks, etc. And they always produce bags in so many beautiful colors. I own the Mini Metropolis in navy color. It's a perfect size for a day out when you need to be hands-free. The chain won't hurt your shoulders but of course will leave some marks after a few hours of use. The lock is very tight and sturdy and you can actually lock it with the key they included. I love that this bag has feet although it's a mini bag. The leather is durable and almost scratch-free. Not as tough as saffiano leather but still easier to handle than soft lambskin leather. The hardware is also of good quality as I haven't noticed any scratches after a good use of it, especially on the lock part. The price point is also very reasonable for its quality and everybody here in my country is so crazy about it! The design is simple and timeless too, so I think this would be a good investment in your wardrobe!

Thank you for yours!

We're of similar heights then! I see you're into light/neutral colours- my personal favourite thus far is Magnolia and possibly Acero too. As far as the interchangeable ones go, I like a pinkish base still with one of their flower themed flaps {that apparently I can't find on their site though?}.

I agree, but luckily I do have another Furla store in town, I just have to get around to actually going there. Since I just got another bag, I've tried not to rush into this. Maybe when summer sales are on? {If there are any, I have no clue.}

I also watched that video- I routinely look for Metropolis mini reviews on YT too. The Pochette Metis in Empriente is quite lovely, isn't it? To think I was never a fan of the Monogram version...

I had a chance to visit the 2nd branch on friday.. i identified the color magnolia i must say its so pretty! I wounder how it compares to acero.
Try other online stores dear i saw a fee flaps on farfetch :)
My friend who owns a candy furla also adviced me to wait cause they do sales though i dont know when :)
The mono metis looks pretty indeed but my heart is set on chloe half moon nile in biscuit!

Funny we were just talking and my friend who owns a candy told me not to rush since they do sales! Just now i got an ad from my local Furla on my phone saying they have 50% off seasonal sale! Dont know what that includes  but sounds great! Minus the fact that i am on a ban since i just paid for a chloe half moon nile!

Thank you so much for your very detailed review! It's great to know that both the hardware and the leather are relatively scratch resistant and mostly worry free; thank you for comparing the Ares leather with Saffiano and lambskin too- very helpful. I see what you mean about the chain marking skin up after a few hours- not really uncomfortable but noticeable, surely more so if one is sleeveless.

The key is something I always wondered about- it seems to come with some shades of the Metropolis mini and be absent in others. Out of curiosity, where are you from? I haven't really seen any in my country thus far, which is ironic, considering I live in Italy!

Magnolia is my favourite shade thus far- wish I could see it in person to grasp its undertone and just how pink it is! Acero looks like a greysh/greenish off white colour on my monitor- my guess is that both shades can be used as "neutrals" and would go with a variety of outfits. I wish there was a cream colour too!

I looked on Farfetch, but that flap seems to have vanished into thin air. It's either permanently sold out or maybe it was launched only in certain markets- possibly in Asia? I have a feeling the Metropolis Mini would be quite popular in certain Asian countries. Oh well. Yes, there are seasonal sales going on now, but our beloved is still sold at full price- it really seems like we'll have to wait a while longer.

Your new Chloe is the bracelet bag, isn't it? Very interesting design and lovely colour indeed! Hope you'll enjoy it a lot. =]

My new black bag body has arrived! It goes well with my pink flap.

It's a relief to know the flaps attach well to the body of the bag- speaking of which, I love the versatility of your new black one! Black and hot pink are always a match made in heaven. <3

I would say that Acero is a cream colour (without grey or green undertones to my mind). It's much nicer in real life than on the screen. Moonstone is a delicate pink. I like it in theory, but as soon as I tried it on I realised that pink bags don't suit me at all!

Is it? That's great news! I definitely have to see it in person then, it's crazy how much monitors change colours! By chance, did you also see Sabbia in person? It looks greyish to me, but I'm not so sure anymore... Thanks a lot!
