Freaking Out! Just Paid 15,400 (USD) for Barenia Kelly 25 cm!! Supportive Comments only!

My SA in the USA has always been willing to order me Evelyne straps (regular-sized Evelyne straps, which may be too large for a Bolide 25) As I understand it, the strap order is done via the "repairs department," which I guess makes sense because I am "fixing a problem." 🤷‍♀️

20 years is a long time to be lusting after something! I am seriously impressed with your patience - I have absolutely none! As other posters have mentioned, if it’s something you can afford, and it brings you happiness, then you should have no regrets. It’s cliche, but life is really short, and as my husband always says “you can’t take it with you!”. Enjoy your stunning new bag!
I consider myself fairly patient.....I've been married for 30 years. LOL! Thank you for your support!

Lmao! I literally laughed out loud! You are so right, marriage definitely takes (A LOT of) patience! 30 years of marriage, 20 years of wanting the bag - rock that new beauty with pride, you deserve it!

Clearly you are someone who has spent a lot on bags so I’m just going to assume you have spent, lets say half of that ($7500) on more than one bag in your collection.

To put it in perspective, this is like buying 2 of those bags. If you are going to use this bag a lot, in the end does it matter if that $$ went towards one bag vs two?

Congrats on the bag!

If you own this bag for the next 20 years, that's just ~$2 per day. Peanuts.
And since it’s been your dream for the last 20 years, you’ve actually been subconsciously setting aside $2 for it everyday!!!
Congratulations on the beauty!!! Gold on gold is a classic and you will wear this all the time and pass it down to generation to come! Well worth it

Haha! Yes, however, I have dialed my Hermes shopping back over the past few years, and have gotten a little pickier about what I will buy. Totally agree with your perspective, I am now more interested in spending a little more to get something I want vs buying more.

So I have asked my S.A. and she said they will try to get me one in barenia. Adding pic with the Evelyne TPM strap I can use it until I have a proper one :)

Wow Congratulations!!! The bag is stunning and you look great! I thought heritage barenia is hard to come by?! I feel like I read many barenia offers from TPM recently. So happy for everyone🥰. I am interested in barenia c18, but my SA told me she has not sold any in smooth barenia, and she usually has them in box or epsom. I pulled the trigger last week and bought one from a reseller instead and paid about $12330 + taxes for a 2018 GHW. Hmm I’m a little torn right now, because it’s supposed to be in excellent condition, but there are more scratches/dents on the leather and hardware than the pics/description, and it’s also GHW (I usually prefer PHW, but i want this leather soooo bad right now). I still want to keep it though. I guess it’s all about how bad you want it😂

It’s a beautiful leather but yeah I think scratches are inevitable. Please share some pics of your beauty.
You can also send it to the Hermes spa, from what I understand the scratches are difficult to remove but can be minimized a bit maybe something to consider :)
Hope you enjoy it! 😀
