There were three ladies there today, I told them I have 58 furs, they nearly fell to the floor lol. One of them said "do you have your own vault?" :giggle:
They asked if I would store them there I said how, I can't lug around all those furs. They said they would have the valet guys help me unload them and they would bring them up...eh I can't, it's too many. I will just stick to having them cleaned every now and then.

I should have taken before and after pics, like of the dirt...the bottom hem lining was black! Good god to think I've been wearing dirty coats this whole time LOL

Ha! They should offer to do pick up from your house! Actually my moms furrier does pick up and drop off at her house. But she doesn’t have 58. Lol. You seem to have a good system of keeping them all fresh.

That's good they do pick up's. There aren't too many furriers around here, NM is actually closer to me than the few that are around.
So far so good with my own storage system.
I'm sure all the vintage ones I bought were mostly stored at home for years.
I run a dehumidifier in the basement during the summer, and it's dark and somewhat cool'ish.

I would love to be a fly on the wall if you ever had them all brought in for cleaning & storage!! They would need to have paramedics on stand by!!!:graucho:

cdtracing the spotted fox came
All in all it's very nice, and it's a Saga, he didn't mention that, so I'm happy about that part. It is blush with white, spots are varying shades of light brown to black, the fur is in excellent shape, I little crushed area on the front. The lining looks good to me, it has one tiny stain, looks like a food stain, sauce or ketchup type.
All the seems are strong, no odor or issues. Now for the part I'm not as thrilled with. He said he cleaned it before It left, I beg to differ, sure it is clean, and must have been cleaned recently, it has the clean smell, but there are areas he must have missed. A few crusty dirt spots near the hem on the suede lining. It's minimal, but this is my only complaint. I would have preferred a more thorough cleaning. Size, he said it was a 16, I guess so, furs sometimes run smaller so I would say it's more of a 12-14. It is very long! down to the tops of my feet. A heavy 1980's(?) coat and will certainly keep me warm
I would rate this seller a B+
Sorry about the lighting spots, the sun was out and reflecting on the chandelier crystals.

Yes, I found one. It's coming from Canada; tracking shows it's already at customs at JFKA so maybe it will get here by the end of the week. It's a classic style dark ranch. And just on a whim....I put a bid on a natural black mink with raglan sleeves I was watching on ebay. Well....what do ya know... I won. Honestly, I figured someone would out bid me & I didn't think I would have the winning bid. It's also coming from Canada & shipped out today. Now I have 2 mink coats coming. Both are stated to be in excellent condition (fur & lining) with no wear. If the measurements are correct, both should fit. Pictures looked good but we shall see. Now I have to be patient. :panic:
Can’t wait to see them! I have an obsession with dark minks!!!

Finally picked up that white damaged fox, it came out beautiful!! Neiman Marcus did an amazing job on it! The tear is repaired and you can never tell where it was, and all that dirt came off. It looks like a brand new coat. The lining was filthy now it's sparkling. The bottom dirt is all gone, it's snow white again yay!

I posted a not so very good pic of the ranch mink in the mink thread on Wednesday. According to tracking, the black mink left NY & is headed South. I should get it on Monday. But....as my luck has it....temps are in the 60's & some days have rain. Highs are predicted to be in the high 60's, close to 70 all next week!! What a bummer!!! Don't know if there'll be another cold spell or not!! Well...at least I can look at them.

That’s what I was thinking, but it is the same lady, boobs, too much makeup, and chair in all their pics... so I don’t know.

There’s one lady on eBay posting pics of her minks while naked, like you can see her boobs, tummy, thighs... it’s obscene. Let me see if I can find it.

EEEEEEEW!!!! (You think they're selling these to MEN or WOMEN?!!!???) Sheesh.
