This looks gorgeous to me. If it looked good on I’d probably leave it. Or ask the opinion of a good furrier I suppose. Modeling pics might help but based on what you posted I’d leave it.

Oh my goodness it's beautiful!! If it were me id leave the collar, I love the big vintage collars. It's timeless, I wouldn't touch it :)

We really need a miscellaneous fur section for all the other lovely furs out there :)

Thank you, I just needed some unbiased opinions. I guess everything comes around again in fashion so probably the beauty in the coat is the vintage details. I think a miscellaneous fur section would be great.

That is just beautiful the way it is I think I would suggest wearing it a few times and seeing how you like it. You could always ask a furrier for suggestions and perhaps one could quickly show you how it would look altered? I would guess that they could not complete any work in time for this winter anyway? The fur type I think is indeed Lippi - it is truly breath taking. Please post some mod shots (and I think this thread is a good place for it as there are already a lot of fur threads already - for chinchilla and sable).

It's beautiful KittieKelly, do you like it as much as other fox types? I like the colours especially.

I find it a little tiresome negotiating over prices with these people but you do get a bargain. I am currently asking about this coat which is fully lined in fox.
