I've seen a lot of youtube videos where the person tests foundation to see how it looks hours later. For me, since foundation blends with my skin and since I don't have perfect vision I really don't notice my foundation not lasting or breaking up later in the day. Do you? or is this really something that only a "makeup artist" with a magnifying mirror notices?

I have normal to dry skin so either this doesn't happen or I don't notice it
It definitely happens! I think it is more prone to those with oily skin. By mid afternoon, my makeup usually breaks up between my eyebrows on my forehead .. strange I know.

Yup same by me and on my nose, and yes I have oily skin. It's very annoying

I’ve never worn foundation for an entire day. Maybe 6 hours max but mostly around 4 hours.
I only put it on for an event or a photoshoot. Otherwise I’m not a fan of foundation. I touch my face too much and I’m too expressive in my facial expressions and cause creasing earlier.
I usually notice creasing around my smile lines but I also use a makeup setting spray which is very helpful.

I use setting spray too...not sure if it really does that much but one reason I use it is it's supposed to help with splotchiness too

It will last longer & look better if you have the right kind for your skin like if you’re oily use matte or pressed ect & if you have a good base. My foundation will look horrible if I don’t prime & moisturize enough before application cause I have normal to dry skin. I use an oil serum to prime as well which helps a lot.

I will moisturise (Augustinus Bader the cream or rich cream when my skin is dryer), then apply foundation with a brush (open fan type brush, very little product needed). I will then very lightly dust on loose powder. Both Chanel which I've been using for years. All my other makeup is Victoria Beckham. Everything of hers I find very moisturising, from eye liners to blush.

I generally have it on for anywhere from 9 to 12 hours 5 days a week. It always lasts, but I'm also very careful to never go rubbing or touching my face.

I use Kjaer Weis foundation. I first apply their beautiful oil, then Murad moisturizer with sunscreen. Then Kjaer Weis primer, then foundation. I have very dry skin. Make up lasts all day and looks very fresh. I get lots of compliments on my skin which started after I switched to Kjaer Weis. I love that it’s cruelty free. For color (eyes, lips, cheeks) I use a combination of Kjaer Weis and Victoria Beckham (also cruelty free).
