Maybe it will be like the 'cara',collection and we will love them. I do like the fact they are made in the UK , I just feel she has played it a little safe for her debut collection.

Yeah exactly I don't want to count them out yet, after all this is just the beginning!

On the plus side they are designed by women, made in England, of leather and look well made. Hopefully the design side will become a little more uniquely British, early days

This. No microfibre. [emoji6]
Actually, I must confess that I like them quite a bit. Esp. the Willow-Lexy mixture in oxblood. But I'm very biased: bags with 2 buckle straps speak very much to me. [emoji1]
I'm not sure about the lock, though. I wonder if the smiling face might get disturbing after a while...
Also, I really wonder if anyone is buying those bags at this price point. Emma Hill isn't this famous and established, is she? Hopefully they don't have to give up soon and try something a bit more daring. I would be looking forward to it. [emoji4]

I thought Hill bags were starting at a lower price point. It seems high to me.

I was hoping for much better designs. :-(. I posted this picture in the Chat thread but this one I hope was just a "caricature" prototype and not a for sale one. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1442814103.606847.jpg

I had a look at the website and must say I am quite disappointed as well, I was rather expecting to fall in love but there's nothing that really appeals. That said there's really not much on there at the moment so it's early days and there's probably a lot more yet to be added to the website.

I'm in two minds about the smiley lock; up close I think it looks okay, from a slight distance, to me, it makes the bags look a bit like Mulberry fakes (you know, the ones where counterfeiters just take a handbag and stick a Daria plaque on it).

I think the Lily-looking pink glossy goat 'Happy chain bag' is so close to being spot on, I'm just not so sure of the lock, or keen on the wide stitching.

Actually, I don't think they look like too much Mulberry, but of course a little... And on the other hand I quite understand that, if that's Hill's way to design things? I don't know. They are too expensive nevertheless, as the brand isn't (at least yet) widely known. And I kind of like the happy lock, a lot. :smile1:

It just all looks like something we've seen many times before. I'm not impressed.

The bags look cheap and like they are heavily inspired by other bags, the pink one IMO looks like a Birkin copy, but I'd expect to see the smiley in New Look or River Island. Not a fan.
