Yes mines been like that for a while now and i only bought it in feb.
Ah well i no i paid money for it and as a 17 year old who wasnt working at the time it cost me an arm and a leg but im not going to take the lock off just becuase its going black, damage is done now so...

Yer i do love my bag but it comes out in every weather including rain. I paid so much *too me* for it and at the end of the day its a bag! but dont get annoyed with me for saying that but thats all it is, not the end of the world. Its replaceable.

But yer am pissed about the lock thing

Does anyone know what LV says about this? I have a brand new 30 and I like the look of the bag with the lock on it - now I have to take it off? I thought I bought a pretty trouble free LV now this! Sorry for ranting but this is so annoying!!!!!!!! I don't know whether to take my chances or keep the lock off the bag.

I just got my 30 too and now I'm scared but I love how it looks! What to do?! Thanks for the heads up, maybe I'll take it off at night or something and try the toothpaste too.

I wonder if where you live has anything to do with it. Like in more humid climates it would tarnish more I would think than in dryer areas.
anyway...I took mine off and just put it inside of the bag so i wont lose it or forget where I put it.. For as much money as they are...you would think they would not tarnish....you know whats funny...I found a box of old junk jewlery I had over 20 years ago...old monet stuff and guess what???? it DID NOT tarnish. shinny as ever...you would think LV could do better on its hardware. Even my gucci sun glasses have tarnished on the logos.
