Until this year, Chestnut was not one of my colors of choice.I don't know if I like chestnut or hate it. But I like it better than elephant for sure.
I agree. For a while, I bought almost every navy or bordeaux FlorentineBordeaux and Navy are me right now. Navy is so regal!
Ivy and Forest are really nice deep greens. Dooney uses these names in multiple collections, but they are similar colors, almost black in dim light. I haven't seen Fern in person, but it's a softer color. Some of Dooney's midtone greens have a grey undertone and some a yellow undertone (like olive). It's all aI have a Fern medium satchel ...trying to decide if I like it or not...wish I had an ivy color green instead
They will bring Tmoro brown back, I think. Chestnut is warmer, richer, but TmoroYes...hard to choose one style or set of colors. I like the darker shades...brighter shades I have to try and match...except red. Love red for some reason. Salmon and pale blue are too bright for me LOL. I have no tmoro brown...I want something of that shade in my collection.
In November, I purchased a medium Florentine satchel in the color Fern. I was expecting to like the bag, but when I saw that Fern smoothe Florentine leather, I fell in loveI have a Fern medium satchel ...trying to decide if I like it or not...wish I had an ivy color green instead
lavenderjunkie, I am with you on the Chestnut love train. What I love about Chestnut Florentine is the character. Whereas, I typically desire my Florentine bags to be smoothe, I find myself wanting my Chestnut Florentine bags to have just a bit of pebbling or lumps or striation, which adds to the character and richness of the bag. I recently bought the Chestnut Florentine Perry from ILD, that bag is beautiful! My Chestnut medium Florentine satchel is another beauty. I love my Natural Florentine bags, but the Chestnut is a more carefree color, so I carry my Chestnut bags more often.Until this year, Chestnut was not one of my colors of choice.
Now, I've become obsessed with chestnut. The color is very rich.
I think part of the 'transformation' is that in the past there was a rainbow of
Florentine colors to choose from. So chestnut fell behind all the beautiful blues, aquas,
purples, bordeaux/wine, red, black, pinks, etc. Now, we get natural, chestnut, black
and if we are lucky chestnut and navy. So chestnut is now in the top 5 colors,
out of 5 colors.![]()
BBY: So nice to hear that you love your Fern Florentine medium satchel. Enjoy carrying her.In November, I purchased a medium Florentine satchel in the color Fern. I was expecting to like the bag, but when I saw that Fern smoothe Florentine leather, I fell in love. This is one of my favorite colors because it is unique, probably so unique that it can be polarizing. But I really enjoy carrying her because she is different. I also find Fern to be a neutral. I hope you grow to love her, but if not, back she goes.
Purpleflower123,Well I better list my naturals since I started the discussion:
