View attachment 5620052I’ll see your skiving and raise you a cut it yourself!

I just received my Caramel Swann after waiting several weeks. Where the first two were 10/10, this one is an 8. The leather doesn’t feel as supple as the taupe one. I moisturized it, but I shouldn’t have to do that with a new bag. My biggest issue is/was the strap. Some of the holes weren’t punched cleanly & two of the slits weren’t cut all the way through. I emailed the company. The response was ‘let’s do some DIY! Get a flat head screw driver and cut the slits yourself.’
Seriously?! Was plan on ordering the black one like @TraceySH , but I think I’m done.

Wishing others better luck with theirs.
Oof. That is NOT good. I am sad to see they are already so quickly getting lazy about their products.

Wow, that is not good. I already had a bit of a weird whiff with the DIY fix suggestion of the skiving on my bag but the suggestion you got for yours sounds even worse as you can damage the leather if you don’t use sharp enough tools (I’ve done punching new holes in my leather belts before and slits can be quite hard to get straight, even with the right tools)

I don’t think it’s okay really… I’m hoping they will read this post and take note… They are still so unknown they cannot afford to be sloppy right now!

Just received my Trinity bag. I purchased via PayPal so I could see the price in US Dollars before I made my purchase. I like that the bag can be worn as a crossbody a shoulder bag and a clutch. If you look at the first photo, you can see that the o-rings are removable and you can take the straps off from there. the bag looks a little bit lopsided in the first photo but that's only because I have it completely stuffed it with all of my things to see what fits.

I am a little disappointed that I can see two of the stitches at the bottom of the bag. If you look at one of the photos you can clearly see the white stitches. It shouldn't affect the durability or strength of the bag. But it's a little disappointing to see. I do like the construction. It looks like the bag is entirely made of one piece of leather. I like the tucks everywhere. And I do like that it looks cute as a clutch!
Also I didn't have to pay customs into the US!

How are you liking the bag so far? I'm looking into getting this because I can use it as a clutch

I like the bag and use it on weekends! I really like the pebbled leather.

Exposed stitches haven't gotten worse and more stitches haven't appeared.

I did suggest to the company to use tonal thread in the future, so any stitches like this wouldn't be so glaring.

Update: I absolutely love my Fleuron purse. I got the Medium Swann in Cookie colour (vegetable tanned leather). I went around Singapore and Bangkok with it. It was raining and water dripped all over my purse. There were some water stains so I used a cloth to wipe them out. I, unfortunately, did not use a waterproofing spray.

Literally, about 5-10 minutes later, the water stains were gone. No stains at all!!! It looks just the same. The leather is phenomenal. Worth the price, I must say. I think it is even better than the Louis Vuitton vachetta leather (Fleuron is only 1/4 of LV prices). My sister’s Noe BB already has a water stain .
Quality over Status symbol for me and clearly, Fleuron leather wins!

I attached photos as proof that there are no stains. It did patina a little bit. 3rd photo is the bottom of LV Noe BB

That’s not a quality issue as vachetta is a completely unprotected leather so it will pick up water spots and darken significantly over time. That being said for a daily use bag, vegetable tanned and combination tanned are far better options. Enjoy your lovely bag!

Can anyone comment on the wear of the corners of the Swann bags? I'm contemplating purchasing one (regular size) but am a little leery of the edges. They started to peel on my Polene Numero Un after only a couple of months of use, and I'm afraid of that happening to this bag. I plan to use it as a daily bag. Thanks!

I’m concerned about this too, they seem quite sharp, easy to peel but maybe not!

I have three Swann bags. I’ve used my pebbled taupe one the most so far - about 6 & 7 times - and it shows zero wear. I’ve used my smooth tan one about 4 or 5 times. It has a little wear on one corner.
I can’t speak to how they may wear with heavy use.

What does everyone think of the price increases? Do you think the quality justifies the increases? The Swann was raised to 495 euros in August and will be raised to 595 euros in January. They were not on my radar before August so I don’t know how often they have raised prices in the past. I’ve had my share of handbag regrets. The price increases paired with the quality control issues documented in this thread have me hesitant to make a purchase. Are they really a rising star?

I'm contemplating getting the Swann is Light Pink or Sand. Have anyone seen the Light Pink in person? Is it more pink than it is as shown on the website? It is currently under pre order status for this colour. And it looks pretty. However, i'm concerned if it'll turned out too sweet for my liking.

Uuugh
The Trinity bag is on sale until January 3

Totally regretting buying mine when I did...
