Should I get a strap for my first Saddle bag?

I tried clipping on Lady Dior strap and it didn't look great, but I can imagine you can find other straps that suit the bag better. I recently saw a Celine strap that I thought had a very similar aesthetics to Dior and is a fraction of a cost ($395!).
Another option is to look for straps on the pre-loved market, there are plenty.

I too am in this same predicament. I bought my saddle because I wanted a unique looking shoulder bag but seeing this bag with strap everywhere is making me think twice about whether or not I should get the strap. I'm sorry the strap didn't work out for you although it looked great on you! I love this Celine option you posted! I love the price! My concern is, would it be too tacky to mix brands? Dior saddle with Celine strap... I just can't justify paying $1200 + tax on a strap that some people on youtube claim leave scratch marks when worn on top of bare skin (tank top or cami) due to its rough texture.

Thank you! I agree that the strap looks good, I just felt clumsy and cumbersome with two straps

Yeah, I'm not sure I would mix brands... I'm a little OCD with these things, everything needs to be as is, but I can totally see someone more cool pulling it off. And yes, I also saw the reviews of the Dior strap being too rough on the skin and clothing, a girl mentioned it ruined her silk Zimmerman dress :cursing:
