First Chanel purchase: your recommendations?

Have you considered seasonal items? Current season has a chevron statement flap bag. Comes in 3 sizes, smallest size fits more than a mini and middle size fits more than a small classic. Not sure of US prices, but in Hong Kong the middle size was about same price as a rectangular mini.

Don't know if you had aimed your comment to me, but definitely sounds like good sizing and I like the Chevron pattern. Unfortunately, where I live there is no Chanel boutique and as Chanel is not sold online anywhere, I am stuck with 2nd hand/vintage options... :/

You should check out reinstore.com this is a company that i found that sells gorgeous vintage chanel bags in mint condition. They specialize in Chanel and have rare and very special hard to find bags. I read that they are collectors. Ive purchased two bags from them.

So it took a while as these minis really aren't easy to get - at least in the part of the world I live in. But finally was able to get this little beauty, along with some foldable Raybans to make the most out of it . Thanks everyone for the comments and help! @yinnie @Vanana
