The white side is set well.

A couple of the lines on the ring are not fully "cut out", and one symmetrical swirly has a mismatched counterpart, as it was cut differently. You can see in the second pic. One of the swirls (on the bottom right) has a squared off look as opposed to round like the other 3 on that side of the ring. It was cut and/or finished poorly.

Minor, to be sure, but for this kind of money...

As for the black diamonds, given that they are set in silver, a contrasting color, the setting work needs to be flawless. It is not. You can see in the pictures that the stones look like they are different sizes and shapes; this is because some are deeply set while others are not, and in some cases the silver "dots" are almost covering the stones.

Again, not sure if this is what the desired look was, so until I send it in for inspection, I won't know.
*Killing me not to wear it* :( :( :(

I see what you are dsaying about the black stones. I do see the swirly thinng, too - Hopefully they'll have a better look at mine before they send it to Steve - or he will examine it more closely after your experience.

They sent me a prepaid, insured label via email today. I will send it out Monday and have it back shortly thereafter.

Thanks, ReRe for the kind comments =)

I can't wait to get it home and wear it!!

^^^^ Just checked back in on this thread, what a shame its not as you hoped for....hopefully it will all be resolved for you quickly and you can get to wearing it!

Thanks, Chaz! I am hopeful they will be able to resolve things. Their willingness is there. Now it's just a matter of ability.

If they can not, then they have no place in the high end market they have positioned themselves in...

I choose to give the benefit of the doubt, though. They have been WONDERFUL to work with, and I hope this was a minor mishap.

I will be sure to repost when the time comes!

Wow, those have got to be some of the most unique looking mens rings I have ever come across. I am very curious about the response on comfort as I have worn larger rings in the past and always find myself fiddling with them in a slight discomfort. The contour design might be just the trick to alleviate that.

Personally I like the triton line for comfort. For example

Even the black line with the tension setting I always found intriguing as well.

I understand you are sending it back, but was the fit comfortable enough for daily use, typing working etc?

The ladies rings are the same as the men's, basically; just scaled down in size based on the ring size. Although they are still big rings! My wife loves the ring on me, but for her she felt the look, even if smaller, was too masculine.

I would say it depends on the lady. She is TINY so it is an overwhelming look on her. But I have female friends and colleagues that they would look great on. YMMV.

As for comfort, as I stated earlier: SUPER DEE DUPER COMFORTABLE. The width and contouring make it fit perfectly. Pardon the comparison, but almost like brass knuckles... I am able to make a fist, shake hands, etc with NO discomfort. Perfect.

As for sending it back, I am only doing so for it to be tweaked. I will get it back in a week or two, and I CAN'T WAIT!

I love this ring!!!:yahoo:

Just need it to be corrected in a few places, and the company is GLAD to do it. They stand behind their product 110% and exist for their customers to be happy. That has been my experience.

To be fair, the price point is such that I expect to be treated that way, LOL!

Awww, fingers crossed for you on this one,I have to say that usually if a company puts themselves in the 'top end' of the market, they deliver goods and service to match,as you say I'm sure its just a minor mishap, from your following posts you sound so in love with the ring,I hope its sorted quick and to the level you want so you can start wearing and enjoying that baby!!!

The pictures you linked to are of my actual ring. It was photographed for the site before being sent to me.

I agree on the whole charm aspect of slight imperfections, but bad stone setting is bad stone setting...

I am not looking for this ring to be perfect in terms of looking like a machine made piece. I AM looking for a high level of craftsmanship, though, on a $4k SILVER ring.

Is that an unfair expectation? I don't think so. However, your point is well taken and I agree that minor signs of craftsmanship are to be expected, and moreso, loved and appreciated as this is a piece of art.
