They will do anything you like, so long as it does not mess with the integrity of the design; typically, about 3mm in either direction.

As for the look, they are so cool. Mine should arrive next week or the week after.

I love unique jewelry. My wedding band is a standard band, 6mm wide, with 40 five point stones channel set on each side for a total of 4 carats. It's based on the Damiani design, but with WAY more bling. It is subtle and cool, and when people notice the hidden bling they tend to say 'WOW'.

Things like that impress me. Cool and unique designs.

These rings stood out because they are so different. The price point is a bit silly, but as it is not a run-of-the-mill look, I didn't mind paying for it.

I did, however, price out a SILVER breakup bracelet; it's like $10k. I didn't bother to ask about the gold version...

Thanks for the info:) I'm really drawn to the "breakup" ring style too- but I hate that it's called "breakup" if it's going to be a wedding band!:) My engagement ring is a really unique yellow diamond set in white gold, and my DF only likes yellow gold. At least with something like this, I wouldn't care if it doesn't match my ring, because it's just so funky!

Wired1, I am curious what kind of advice did you get on sizing from Steve via the manufacturer? I ordered the Enigma in Sterling Silver, after much agonizing and talking to Steve (a wonderful guy to deal with, you are right!)

I ended sizing up one size. What size ring do you typically wear, and what size did you order in your ring? I am freaking somewhat over a non-returnable ring bought without trying it on IRL, but we had a few good back-and-forth conversations, and went a size bigger and I'd rather it be too big than too small - big can be fixed by soldering little balls inside the band to the size one's finger fits, by one's jeweler. Gawd I hope it fits!

Steve if you are reading this LOL, (folks I told him about TPF), I have confidence in you, but as I told you (in not so many words) I am obsessive and anal! :p

I wear 9 and 10 size rings. I went with ten. I too am a little freaked by not being able to return a ring I never tried on.

Still, my attitude is I asked for a size 10.

I have a ring pole sizer and when the ring arrives I will size it against that.

If it is a 10, and does not fit...it's my fault.

If it is not a 10, and does not fit, I will request an exchange.

So I am not TOO worried. Also, Steve is great.

I should have the ring soon enough, so I will be sure to post!

-My size is 7-3/4, 8 if I am puffy or it is hot out. So I went with an 8-1/2. Interestingly the company recommended an 8 after Steve gave them my info but I strongly felt that would be too small except for cold winter days. He called them back and described again, in a lot of detail what I said, and he and I felt an 8-1/2 would be good and no problem as far as I am concerned if it is too loose as that can be addressed.

I do have 2 bands that go to my knuckle - 15 mm wide, and I chose 8-1/2 for them. They come on and off loosely, but I felt an 8 would have become very uncomfortable as I bent and used my hand during the day, and it would probably swell up a bit as that occurred (once again I had to extrapolate, I could not try on IRL). The do not "shake off" when I tried that even though very easy to pull off and put on and are comfortable over the course of a day. They are tighter but still fit well on hot days, etc.

Since the Enigma is 11-12 mm in an 8.5, I figured/hoped I wouldn't have to go larger than 8-1/2

Let's both keep our fingers crossed! Or a consignor will get very lucky in my case :(

I won't even mind it is too big. I am on pins and needles. I have a measuring stick, too - but you have to find out if the jeweler measures a size at the leading edge (some do) or at the center of the ring. Definitely makes a difference.

***also, earlier post I said I could not afford these rings, but damn it just called to me. Credit card got a workout!

Take a deep breath! LOL! It will all be FINE! The way I look at it is this... My ring fingers are like 9.5-10, but I HATE tight rings. I wear them all loose.

I will find a finger to wear it on if it is not right.

=)

On a delivery note... This Tuesday will be two weeks since I ordered. Steve told me about 2 weeks for it to be made, so I am hopeful it will go out this week :)

Then again, I am not a stickler for delivery dates; custom stuff is NEVER on time and NEVER meets expectations in terms of delivery. Or so it seems. Maybe this time will be different!

The Enigma ring is SILLY COOL. I hope you love it. I wish I could have swung that one, too, but it's way expensive for these things...

I may order another one in the future if I love the first one.

-Yeah but if it's too small. I don't relish the thought of a diamond pinky ring like the one my FIL wears, it's a 'lucky' horseshoe I think. LOL.

Italian-American FIL - with his cigar and diamond pinky ring:p

Maybe in the future, if this purchase goes well, I'll order a YG Secrets ring with 3 initials - mine and DH's with the initial of our surname in the middle...

You can always give it to me for my pinky! LOL! I don't mind looking like a reject from the World Series of Poker! :p:graucho::p:laugh:

In fact... a size 8 or so would be Juuuuuuust perfect.

Tee hee hee. Remember, it is always better to give than to receive :)

i just saw this thread & checked out the rings & those are super cool looking! very interesting and detailed enough to do double-duty on a chain as a cool looking pendant, too i think.

DH would kill me if i spent money on them, so i shall admire from afar when you all post pics & modeling pics!
