i just saw this thread & checked out the rings & those are super cool looking! very interesting and detailed enough to do double-duty on a chain as a cool looking pendant, too i think.

DH would kill me if i spent money on them, so i shall admire from afar when you all post pics & modeling pics!

-I hadn't thought of that - it would look great!

Mine is going to take at least 3 weeks I was told. No biggie. It gets here when it gets here.

But wired, I am interested to know how your size fits; and I'll report back, too.

Wow I love this ring...do they discount the price, anyone have a picture on a ladies hand

-The actual LUX website has some very stylized (photos/images? Not sure if real women) wearing the rings, though not up close views.

Call the dealer (abouttime.com) it can't hurt to ask about working with pricing.

Some of the styles are only 7-8 mm in size 8.5/ Call Steve at the above store, and he can tell you width for certain sizes)

Wired mentioned 15+ mm but that is in men's bigger sizes -the smaller the size, the narrower the width. Some of them, if you go to the sites, are not outrageously wide. Plus you can see they curve in on the sides, I think this will make them comfortable to wear.

wired1 and chessmont, I emailed Steve and he is going to call me, I'm leaning between the One and the Obsession in silver. I'd love to see them though on someone's hand so please post your pictures. The enigma was gorgeous, but possibly too many diamonds for me. Wish I could see the silver, white gold and platinum next to each other just to see the differences in coloration. I have 4 Michael B platinum and diamond rings that fit together...they also have the diamonds all the way around the bottom.

Hi ReRe, Steve said ~ 3 weeks for my Enigma, so perhaps a couple more weeks for me. Just gives me more time to pay off the CC!

I am such a lazy A$$ about pics, but I'll try and post when it arrives. Hope it fits! (wired1, yes I am still freaking about fit, LOL)

I LOVE mega sparkle, my budget should have stayed lower, but I was mesmerized

My ring will be here tomorrow!!!! I may not sleep. LOL!

I also saw some actual pictures of it, and it is stunning.

It looks very shiny compared to the pics on the site, probably because it is the real-deal and not some photshopped image or rendered image.

I will be sure to post pics ASAP!

...now I am worried it won't fit properly, LOL! We shall see!

On a side note, Abouttime and Steve are hands down the best on-line shopping experience I have ever had. And I have done A LOT of online shopping.

Anyone interested in anything from that site should contact Steve, and proceed with confidence. He is WONDERFUL!

I'm sorry! Honestly, I am not worried. I am EXCITED!!!

Also, if you go to about time, and scroll down to the Obsession ring, you will see a NEW link there; it has a pic of my ring from all angles.

They posted it before sending it out :)

Enjoy!

OK, not to be toooo dramatic, but I am in the office today, and I am like a kid in a candy store as I wait for my new ring to arrive.

It's like Christmas.

:)

I will post pics tonight!!!!:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

It's HERE!!!

Quick impressions:

Fit: 10/10 Perfect. Sized perfectly, fits like a glove. The contours make it the most comfortable ring I have ever worn.

Finish: Subjective... It is CLEARLY a hand made piece, and is nowhere NEAR as perfect as the pictures. I like this, as it gives it character, and a story to tell in terms of how it was handmade JUST for me.

If, however, you are looking for a machine perfect look as in the pictures, you may not enjoy this brand.

I say 8/10. Might be 10/10 for someone else, 6/10 for another. YMMV, basically.

Stones: Gorgeous but not all set well. Lots of sparkle, fire, brilliance, you name it. Some are just set a tad too deep in the side of the ring 7/10.

Packaging: 3/10. Boring white box with HOUMAN logo on it. Typical black laquer wood box inside. I guess I was hoping for something as creative as the piece itself. It's a fine presentation, but misses an opportunity to WOW you before you see the ring.

Overall: (Not Cumulative) 7/10. Would I buy another LUZ ring? Maybe. I am not sure the workmanship is up to the pricetag. Again, while I do not mind the imperfections, others might. So I can't reccommend it without warning.

For me, I will wear this ring proudly and happily. It is HUGE, and BOLD, and FUN.

I think the only potential downside here is that the LUZ site shows a product that is not quite what you get. I expected this. Others may feel differently. But unless it is done on a machine and mass produced, it will simply not look like the pictures on the web. Plain and simple.

That being said, it is a WOW look, very comfy, totally unique, hand made one-at-a-time, conversation piece that I am glad and proud to own.

A little more attention to detail (read: Packaging and Finish) would make this a world-class product. For now, it gets by on it's uniqueness and cool factor.

My 2 cents. Pictures later on, I promise.

---Hmmm, interesting; hope my 8-1/2 fits, seems like it might.

Wired, do you think if it was the gold or platinum model, the workmanship might be different, better? I wonder.

It sounds gorgeous in a rustic hand-made way - hopefully I'll like that.

Today my fingers were puffy and I couldn't get mys size 8's on my R ring finger; my 15mm wide 8-1/2's fit closer than usual. I think going conservatively with the LUZ is probably the right think t do.

Wired, do you think maybe the styles with no diamonds might have a more 'machined' look to them? Is it just the imperfections of the diamond settings that make you not give that a '10'?

Hi,

Sorry for not posting pictures!

My ring is actually going to go back to be inspected; I am not too certain that the way it looks is correct, and they want to see it to make sure I am 100% satisfied.

I will say this: The customer service is OFF THE CHARTS. Incredible.

So I will send it in to be inspected; perhaps a better job could be done. Then again, it is "beautiful in a rustic way" and I am unsure if my ring is not the way it is supposed to be... time will tell. Should get it in a few weeks and I will be sure to update.

Meantime, have NO WORRIES. As I said, customer service is PHENOMINAL and wants to ensure your satisfaction. I was overwhelmed by how well I was treated, and how much everyone truly cared that I was over-the-moon happy, rather than "satisfied".

Great service! I will keep you updated!:D

OOH wish you could have snapped a picture before it went back... I want to see it so bad, two weeks seems like forever. But glad you are getting good customer service.

OK, so my picture taking abilities are AWFUL, but you get the idea.

Basically, the black diamond sphere is where I am unhappy, and it doesn't show up in photos as all that bad. They were not set well and so they appear different shapes and sizes, as opposed to all of them being round. Nonetheless, it will be rectified, so I am happy.
