That looks PERFECT!!! May I ask the caret weight of the center stone and the band. I like how the sizes of the diamonds highlight each other. I have a solitare and I'm not sure what size ct. weight the band should be. I really really want an eternity band BUT I work with my hands and the diamonds on the inside would tke to much abuse.

I love your set it's beautiful...When's the BIG day?

Thanks for all the great comments! I'm still very excited about it.

ilzabet, I think the fiance already figured that I will sneak it out of the box to wear it...so he took it to the safe deposit box in the bank today(he knows me a little to well...haha)!! I guess I can only look at the pics :crybaby:.......I'll try to visit it wheneve I can...maybe when he's travelling...hehe.

saligator, Thank you! he is such a sweetheart...i don't think i tell him that enough, he might get cocky :p ...I did tell him he did well in the rings tho.

blackadara, hahaha...trust me, I think I went through that stage too. break him down slooooooowly.

LVLover, the wedding is set to be 10-27-07, I can't wait!!! The center stone is 1.12ct, and the band is 1.36cttw. I had to try on a few different sizes in the range of 0.8ct - 1.6ct, and at 1.6, it was a bit over powering paired with 1.12 stone; the 1.2-1.4cttw range was perfect. You also should consider if you like the channel set or the prong set, because the same carat weight prong-set bands are not as thick as channel set bands. I chose the channel-set because I didn't want the prongs on the eternity band to rub against the engagement ring, just a personal preference. As for working with your hands, don't worry! Diamonds are the toughest material on earth! They can take the abuse. =) haha, kidding aside, maybe you can consider a 3/4 band? That way, it still looks like a full band, but you won't have the diamonds at the very bottom. Do get one!!! They are sooo sparkly...haha, I'm such a girl. Hope this helps!

Thank You! THank YOu! Mine is 8.25.07 and I can't wait either!!!:yahoo: I was thinking a 3/4 would be perfect but I've looked at the jewlery stores around town and no seems to have a 3/4 eternity band. Any suggestions where to look. I would perfer channel set as well.

Wow, Congrats!!! How exciting!!! There are so many brides-to-be on this forum!

I thought I've seen one in Tiffany's before. If not, maybe the ladies on here can recommend a trustworthy jeweler to custom make one. Also, take a look at Engagement Rings, Loose diamonds and diamond jewelry at Whiteflash.com and Diamond and Platinum Rings, Wedding Bands, Anniversary Rings, Eternity Bands, The Facets Collection A lot of ladies on pricescope post about their experience with them, and they seem to be good with custom ones too.

I remember trying on an 11-stone diamond wedding band at Tiffany's. It was on the dainty side - 0.8 carats, making each stone less than 0.1 carat each - but it was sooo sparkly and more importantly (to me), the stones covered the top of my finger, so it looked like an eternity band. (I didn't want stones all the way around, personal preference). I remember it being $2100 two years ago.

I ended up having one custom made from a reputable jeweler, again with 11 stones, but with over 1 carat of diamonds. We orig bought a 7 stone ring, but I still saw platinum between the stones and my finger, so we brought it back and they were gracious enough to make us another ring.

My guess is that many jewelers are willing to custom make a piece for you, maybe it's just a matter of asking?

^^Thanks all! You guys are way nice!!!

Mangowife, I would love to see your set! I've been obsessed with the look of solitaire with eternity band....haha.

I forgot to answer the question about the spec - 1.36ct, D/E color, VS or better.
