I'm in Paris for a week with some time to shop. Wondering if anyone has any favorite stores or boutiques (clothing, shoes, etc.)? If folks have recommendations for mens stores as well, feel free.
I don't have any specific stores but this reminds me of the time DH and I were walking through this store in Paris. Most of the tops were sweaters and they were all folded instead of hanging so the only way you could see what they looked like was to pick it up and hold it up. One of the SA was literally following right behind me refolding the tops. It made me so self conscious that I left as fast as I could.
You should try the shoes section at Le Printemps Haussman (departement store).
To me this place is heaven on earth
And yes Colette (ans the whole area) worth a visit.
Oooohhh..I went to a GREAT consignment shp in Paris...let me see if I can find the name! It was one shop with 5 little storeronts all gathered together...one was ALL designer handbags!!
Le Bon Marche has the best customer service of the three big department stores and an excellent lingerie department (but Printemps and Galeries Lafayette have better selection). It also has a delicious food market. There is an Herve Chapelier store fairly close also, if you are interested in that. The Champs Elysees is a tourist trap for the most part.
