Favorite Black Bag!

For black bag days I carry either my Marni Trunk or my Gucci Jackie soft shoulder bag (on the left in the second photo--the Marmont is for evening ). I couldn't choose between these two!

I love variety so I have 7 black bags and 2 additional bags that have a great deal of black on them. So I love black bags. But my absolute favorite go to's are my:

Chanel black patent single classic flap


Louis Vuitton Lockme II BB

and Prada Saffiano Bauletto Satchel
If I just had to go down to 3 black bags I could survive with these because they give me a range of sizes, materials, styles and hardware. They are truly the beloved workhorses in my collection.

the givenchy melancholia studded shoulder bag!
this is my fave black bag, the size is perfect, it fits a regular ipad and much more. it's a rully's bigger than it looks. i can carry a reading book too among all of my stuff
i wear it so much

and the studded strap is removable which i don't wear often because its heavy so i would just attach any other strap. luckily it's strap season now so i just buy as many for the future

Shape, matte look, less rigid structure all keep this bag extremely versatile.
Dresses up or down.
Can be slammed into things accidentally without hyperventilation-level trauma.

Love black evening/fancier bags.
Own a couple.
But not huge fan of black everyday schlepping bags.
So vicster is it.
(And black pacsafe crossbody--over a decade of international travels, with vomit, salt water, filth & being washed in hotel sinks--still going.)

Do you find your Velo to be sturdy and durable or is it a bag you have to baby?

I don't baby it at all! Although I do make sure I moisturize it every now and then. I think it also helps that the black color makes it so low maintenance. I love it for everyday use. But then again, I'm never rough with all my bags.

I only own three black bags as I usually opt for neutral or colored bags, and the black bags I do have don't see a ton of use. My favorite is the Dior New Lock WOC in lambskin leather. This is one of my bags for more formal occasions.
