I just purchased a Lockme II in Noir - it's my first leather LV! I think it can go from day to evening easily- shoulder/crossbody during the day and a handheld at night. It's a great black bag (although I am tempted to bring it back for the Rubis which is a great pop of color).

I'm looking for a black bag currently. I'd like to use it everyday. I'm considering chanel jumbo black/caviar w/gold hardware but with recent chanel quality issues and the high price tab I'm not sure if it's worth it. I like Balenciaga city (have one in a diff color) but think the leather is fragile (for my taste), plus I'd like to have something different. I also don't want to buy a bag that will go out of style in the long run - prefer classic design in a medium size, with a shoulder and even a cross-body option if possible. help thanks!

I have four black bags, two with silver hardware and two with gold. I justify this by having them in different shapes and styles: one crossbody, one shoulder, one handheld and one oversized that can be carried shoulder or handheld.
