Faulty earring post

I’ve purchased a pair of frivole earrings in July. Only worn them twice and the clasp on one of the earrings has gone loose. It’s not obvious from the picture, but it feels really loose and will definitely fall off my ear. Will Van Cleef fix it for free? What is your experience with their after sales customer service? Thanks in advance.

One of my frivole was loose after a few wear, I sent them back to repair within 1 month of purchase, no charge. It's been 2 months but I still haven't received them yet. Not sure why it takes this long to repair loose clip.

I just finished cleaning my Alhambra pave earrings in the ultrasonic and one of the posts came off. It appears to be threaded on one end but I can't get it back in place. I don't have a boutique near me so I would have to send for repair or take to a local jeweler. Has anyone else had this issue? Thoughts on having someone repair other than VCA? Thanks in advance!

I would take it to a local jeweler bc I care most about my own convenience and not resale value.
I also have a great independent jeweler who I trust.
But, I believe most members here would strongly recommend sending it to VCA.

As @880 said, If you take it to a local jeweller they´ll most likley be able to fix it faster and cheaper than through VCA but the downside is that VCA, like other brands probably won't touch it if you've previously had it repaired anywhere else.

You can just contact customer service and send the earrings straight back to their NY headquarter for repair or get them soldered in. I wouldn't send it to a local jeweler since VCA won't service on your earrings once they've been worked on by unauthorized jewelers/agencies. It's not as speedy as dropping them off at the local jewelers but I think the extra wait is worth it since you're dealing with a pave piece and there are issues that you may encounter down the line that need service by VCA - eg. loose prongs, loose stones, etc.
