I agree the pics don't seem to pick up the yellowish tinge, its more obvious in some lights than others. However, I wouldn't really expect a £600 bag to fade to that extent after 6 months of very gentle use.

Bluecat, I just found your thread on denim mabel fading again. I've noticed mine is doing the same :crybaby: I can't remember how you resolved it - did you send it back to Mulberry for assessment? I'm wondering what I should do...
Appreciate any advice you have, thanks.

Hi fuzzy. Sorry to hear it has happened to yours too. I phoned Mulberry first and was advised to send it back to be assessed which I did. I then had a call back from Kate in repairs and the verdict was that it was normal fading but as a goodwill gesture they sent me vouchers to the full value. I had enclosed my receipt proving it was less than 6 months old. I also explained in the letter that once it had started it faded very quickly despite being in the dustbag. I was gutted at it had been my favourite bag but ug startedbto have a ddfinite yellow tinge. I hope you get yours sorted because in experience it gets worse quickly once it has started.

Thanks for the info. I will give them a call I think. The only problem is I've had mine since it first came out, about 2 years ago. I can't remember when I bought it exactly, I'll have to try and dig out the receipt. Maybe there's nothing they can do for me considering it's age? But I've kept it in it's dustbag in the wardrobe, same as you did.
How annoying!

I've not read the whole thread but am happy to add that my denim Mabel showed signs of fading when I took her out after not using her for a while. I was surprised at this as how can something fade when it's not being used?

My plum bayswater became dark red from purple (and handles are now lighter shade than the rest ofr the bag) - and the lock/keys darkened into black as well! The bag was never put to be stored in a damp place. I like the red change, but I hate the black lock!

I haven't mentioned this before but I think the coated canvas also fades. I have a wash bag which has been exposed to the light (left on bathroom windowsill) and has turned a yellowish green in places.

I think this might happen to my purple coated roxanne, so I am keeping it stored under wrap. Would be interested to know if I get it out this summer if the same thing will happen?

I have the chocolate Mabel in antiqued leather and it is also fading, or actually turning a bit greyish brown. I know Mulberry will say it is the aging process. I guess all colours will slightly change over time, it just depends on to what extent and do we like the colour change or not.
