My denim mabel is not only fading but starting to get a yellow tinge . I'm not happy about it as I used to adore the colour but its not beautiful anymore. Its especially annoying as it has happened whilst it has been sitting in the dustbag in my dark, dry wardrobe.

Been faffing about trying to upload some pictures of Magenta hanover, It keeps telling
me to clear all my cookies before I can upload :confused1:

Blimey I`m not even hungry....couldn`t eat a whole laptop !!

Will try again later, supposed to be food shopping.. (even more exciting than clearing cookies) xx

My fuchsia Bays is also turning from bluish fuchsia to an orangey red. I actually wouldn't mind fading as long as the shade/colour stays the same, but the colour change is totally changing the bag.

Another thing is that when lifting the flap, the colour inside is very different to the colour outside. This is what actually bothers me. There is definitely a component in the coating that is reacting, most likely, with light.

Bluecat, that's how I'm starting to feel about my fuchsia Bays.

Linnea, still no word from Mulberry then? ITA that the colour change is changing the whole look of the bag. I, too, am annoyed with seeing the difference in colour when the flap is opened.

KLP, I should know more next week. I will let you know as soon as I hear from Mulberry. So far they have been very helpful! Every time I am in touch with their customer service, I am amazed by how fantastic they are .

Do you have recent pictures of your denim mabel bluecat? I am going to check mine when I get home and we can compare notes if you like, see if there's any pattern to the colour change...?

Jenova do you have any pics of your day? :graucho: I'd love to buy more bal but I swoon at the price and its hard to get the nicer bags in decent colours on sale!

I haven't but I will have a Bal photo session for you some time soon. (I must admit to having 4 Days - an 08 Sapphire in very good condition but a bit stiff (scared to use it as this is a known fading colour), the 07 Black (gone green but super soft), an 06 Ink (tired but still lovely) and an 06 Lilac (badly wrecked - by its 2 previous owners - but still very cool).

The price has always been bad but it has got worse recently and the quality has gone down so I don't buy any more. I used to get a very good deal from Luisaviaroma.com when the exchange rate was in our favour.

I'll take some pics later. I can really tell by comparing the underside of the strap with the rest of the bag and the inside of the pockets.

My colour change experiences:

Antique Plum AG Bays - bought new was deep purple/plum (spent all life in dustbag, dry room, 3 ish years) > now a rich oxblood red

Antique Plum AG Roxanne - bought new was deep purple/plum (spent all life in dustbag, dry room, 3 ish years) > remains original deep/purple/plum

Apple Darwin Bays - bought new was bright spring green (used maybe 5 times, collonilled about 20 times though) > remains original colour

Apple Darwin Phoebe - bought used was a nice bright olive (can see diff under straps/buckles) > my minimal use has not changed its status

I also hear that Salmon Darwin fades ferociously.

Personally, I think fading (over some considerable time) is marginally acceptable BUT colour pigment change is not

Ellie, now I have more reason to wait for your pics!! Can you include side by side photo of the above two?? (Have you worked out how to put the pics now? I understand you are fine tuning the groups & arty shots, but technology wise OK??)
