ok, i only found a pic of a fake but you can see what it looks like. this is the "normal" chanel kelly. the one i saw was from the cambon line and was a bit more youthful and the straps were a little longer. but i like them both!

You can have the bag re-dipped in the color, I guess so it looks like new again. For the chain on that bag the SA said they would have just replaced it. The re-dipping was only $200, which is a good deal as opposed to buying the exact same bag again.

other than that, did you check out the dior website? there is a dior gaucho saddle bag coming out. i know you collect saddle bags, and since you didn't like the regular gaucho bag, you may like this one.

I saw the gaucho saddle last week and wasn't too impressed. I initially liked it, but it just wasn't as eye catching as the regular gaucho since it lacks the key and the coin thing, and the huge buckle:cry:



I am still on the hunt...thinking about going after school since I have some time to kill before my mother's bday dinner :D

About holding out for the birkin, I know I'll get the birkin as soon as I see it, whether it be today, or months from now...hopefully not years! I may just settle for the next 32cm Kelly in an acceptable color though, I am desperateeeeeeeeeeee!:push:

Thanks Noriko!.... can't believe I have never heard of this before... sounds like a great idea!

My vote is on the Birkin - that is the best bag ever! I'm sure one will cross your path very, very soon. Good luck!

^^^well, one didn't cross my path tonight :laugh: I went back again to check just in case. They did have a black 32cm Kelly, but it was just boring to me. If it had the magenta piping I'd have definitely considered buying it even though I am holding out for the 35. Instead I went to Escada and bought clothes :laugh:
