Loquita...I was wondering why we had not seen YSL purse porn from you yet! LOL! I'll keep my fingers crossed it gets back to you very soon!!

:crybaby:

As of January 3rd (the last tracking update is from that day), my package is out there floating in the USPS universe.

I am seriously upset...but thanks for your good wishes, Odeb!! :hugs:

Janine, reading this makes me so happy...you go!!! And gifting your bags to your sister and your friend is such a kind gesture. I bet that they will love them even more knowing that they came from you. :smile1:

PS: You are smart to wait and not get rid of some extra bags until you replace them with what you really want. Yours truly jumped the gun a bit and now I don't have a bag to wear at all!! :lawl:

Yeah, I saw that you're carrying around a nylon bag now.:graucho: But just think of what's to come!:yahoo:

Aw, thanks, sgw!! :hugs: You are always so sweet.

And I was in the local PO for THREE TIMES yesterday for lost packages (this one, and one that I sent to someone else) so my faith in the USPS is not exactly rock-solid at the moment. :lawl:

I'll keep you all posted, though!

Oh, No, Lo! I'm so sorry your bag didn't show up. I sure hope it gets to your house safe and sound VERY SOON!

Thanks, TM!!

I just checked the tracking again and it was recently scanned in a city about 15 minutes away from here...so at least I know it's still out there! :p

Lo - I"m happy for you. Your getting close now!

Well I just purged several more handbags in preparation to purchase my next wishlist bag. It's the BV Ebano Campana.

I'll gladly take away many for just this one! LOL

Just saw this post and am jumping on the wagon now.

It's so smart to purge for something you want more.
Like one of the earlier posters (sorry, can't remember who already after 23 pages), often times I end up buying a lot of mediocre things that just never quite measure up to what I REALLY wanted in the first place, and for the amount I spend on mediocrity, I can have a superior item.

My policy now is, if I can afford it, and if I keep thinking about it for more than a week straight, then buy it! If I don't think about it that much, then obviously I could do without it!

I donated 7 handbags to goodwill and am selling 2 mid-designer ones (for what I paid since I got them on uber sale) to help whittle down my collection...plus I'm buying a new M by MJ and I needed to justify it...just a little. The two bags hardly covers 1/6th of the cost of that bag (stupid customs and duties), but that's fine. I don't use those bags very much anyway. And when I do use them it's because I'm thinking "oh, I don't use this bag very much. Let me prove myself wrong" and not because I particularly love them.

Plus, how many closets can you have in a house anyway?

I also purged my shoe collection, but I'm not much of a shoe girl (I'm serious!) so I have no plans on replacing anything for something better.

Now I must attack my jewelry collection. Too much bling...

You are almost there LO. I can't believe after all this its lost. I finally got to the buying stages of my purge. I sold 4. I didn't buy my dream bag because it was having problems with the design. I did buy 3 new ones though.. A new LV Batignolles which is a good actually NEW LV, a Burberry shopper I have been wanting for a while, and then I still had some money left so I bought a Kooba radomly. I have never owned one before, but I took some TPFers opinions to heart. I decided it's good to have a leather bag in case I am going to go somewhere where people really think labels are too much. That is why YSL is so good. It doesnt have labels all over it for people to judge. It is just a drop dead gorgeous bag. It will get here. And thanks for the purging idea.

lovebags, you are too cute. :p

ITA with you...a BV Ebano Campana is EASILY worth several other bags, especially if they are bags that you don't use that much or get much pleasure out of. Congrats on taking the plunge and I can't wait to see your pics!!

sexycombover (love your username, btw ;)), welcome to the purgatorium!!!:lawl:

You are in the perfect mindset for this place, and I congratulate you on the major steps that you have already taken. You will enjoy the MbMJ all that much more once you have your collection a bit more streamlined, for sure. And no worries about not being a massive shoe lover - I used to be horrible with the shoes but now rarely buy them, since I have to walk alot and I refuse to wear uncomfortable shoes (and most cute shoes are uncomfortable, so once I remember myself of how much they wil hurt the urge to buy them diminishes almost immediately). ;)

Good luck, and please keep us posted!!

Not gonna lie, I had to google that. It's gorgeous though! I can see why!!

Nothing like saving up for something extra special imo (although I suck at being patient so I sometimes cave before I have sufficient funds...bad strategy yes).

fashion_mom, you are on a roll!! CONGRATS, you made some excellent choices!! :yahoo:
I am really excited for you...and looking forward to seeing your new bags. :graucho: I think that it's great that you treated yourself to a new LV with the money that you gained by purging. You deserve it!!!

And thanks for your well wishes regarding my "missing" YSL. I ran into the PO manager again today while I was in there shipping a few bags that I had sold, and I told him where my bag was now, according to the online tracking info. He told me that my bag might even show up tomorrow!!! :yahoo:

But I am trying not to get my hopes up.
