The pub in Sydney where Fred and Mary met is trying to make the most of the whole thing... Hot dogs, There's Something About Mary cocktails, thrones for people to photograph themselves in...

I wonder if people care that much. From what I hear, not really.

Well at least Mary will have better teeth than the former Queen. Sorry, not sorry lol.
That's what decades of heavy smoking will do to ya... Happy to hear she quit a few years ago though. I hope she is well, I've feared for years she'll get lung cancer.

Funnily enough the teeth don't bother me that much, I see a lot less abnormally bright white teeth so I guess I don't pay attention unless someone has really rotten teeth, lol  The eye bothers me more but I try not to pay attention... I mean, she's had severe strabismus even as a young woman but it's more pronounced these days.

I hope Mary will learn to be more humble when she becomes queen. It has always annoyed me how self-satisfied or even smug she seems.

Mary is getting presents from Australia...

The federal government will provide a $10,000 donation in Mary’s honour to Wildcare Tasmania to support its efforts to ensure the survival of the Tasmanian Devil. The Tasmanian government has also made a $10,000 donation to the Alannah and Madeline Foundation, which Mary has been an international patron of since 2005. The City of Hobart is marking the occasion by planting a native blue gum tree in a prominent location. I wonder if they should've actually planted a Scottish tree as Mary's parents are both from Scotland and moved to Australia in 1963 🤔 but I guess she's native in a way, born in Tasmania anyway.

Tasmania will also send the future King and Queen of Denmark a hand-made Huon Pine occasional(?) table from renown Tasmanian furniture maker Rex Heathcote.

Sky News also says: "To celebrate the coronation, several landmarks in Tasmania will be lit up in the colours of the Danish flag, including the Tasman Bridge, the Launceston Town Hall and Devonport's paranaple convention centre." Ok... but it's not a coronation.
