Of course this is conjecture on my part but it is rumored the two brothers have always had some tension. That has probably led to negative feelings toward each other for the women - when all you hear is negative you start to become negative too. There maybe some jealousy from Joachim and Marie. They certainly publicized their disdain regarding their children losing the HRH and princely titles saying things like how upset their kids are, they were traumatized, the kids at school made fun of them, it demeans them, blah, blah, blah. I personally think the Queen did the right thing and was thinking about J’s kids having normal lives. J & M were the ones upset not the kids.

Oh I'm so hoping they'll have some sort of a bigger celebration later this year! I wasn't really expecting there to be big festivities since the abdication is happening on such short notice and it would be unusual since it's not the tradition. And it's not the nicest time of year to organise a big party. But still, hoping for some festivities to mark the occasion closer to summer because I want to see guests arriving from other countries, the gowns, the bling...
When I saw the detailed programme and noticed Marge is leaving well ahead of the balcony appearance, I couldn't help thinking she wants to make sure she'll be lounging in front of her tv set with her dachshunds watching the whole thing and eating chocolate.
I also feel she will call Beatrix in the Netherlands to say "well, now I've done it too!".She looks so happy and relaxed, like she doesn't have a care in the world. Good for her!
