P
i got an email from
Gucci about those trainers. They are so pretty. Are you going to get them?
Ah all this talk of Oz makes me miss home (NZ)

hope to make it over next year to my beautiful Aotearoa
Speaking of working remotely, I thought I read recently that Adelaide in Oz was offering to pay for peoples’ flights there (from Europe, or maybe just the UK) for those going on work visas, to aid travel after Covid
Random question
@bagsamplified but do you find with the humidity that it affects how you have to store your luxury bags etc? I know that humidity isn’t good for bags eg can cause mould etc so just wondered really.
@Struck by Designer Cupid sorry I missed your messages! I was off for like a day and look what I missed

welcome back and Kia Ora neighbour!
I didn't buy the Adidas trainers but they are beautiful, I'm hoping everyone hates them and they appear at an outlet in my size somewhere

I love Gucci outlets but none in Australia
I heard of government support for overseas healthcare workers to come here but not sure about the specifics and each State/Territory. It might not just be healthcare workers but of course they'd be the priority as well as aged care etc.
Humidity yes definitely- I actually used luxe bags a lot less in Qld because of that!
@Mapoon and others would have more to say but for me, when I did have a luxe leather bag in the wet season at home, I'd use the Daiso dehumidifier beads- those tubs of beads that soak up moisture in closets and rooms. You may need more than 1 tub per cupboard! It did help. Unfortunately I've had mouldy bag from damp wardrobe before, luckily not luxe or expensive but still a special piece so that was disappointing- and that happened in winter! Don't know if you have Daiso in the UK but other places like maybe hardware stores, supermarkets, might sell them too.
Airflow is important too. I used to keep cupboard doors ajar so aircon would flow in , but you have to be wary of moths and other random flying Australian objects..

Daiso also sold cedar moth balls which seemed to work. Usually if aircons on and windows closed, there shouldn't be bugs flying inside of course but there's the chance of a random critter getting in when you just enter and leave the home.
You also don't want the aircon or fan directly on your bag or it'll dehydrate and risk cracking. And of course avoid direct sun when storing.
When I lived near the beach I also worried about salt potentially tarnishing the hardware. But only lived there a short while.
That being said, luxe is very popular in Queensland, some of the best shops are there, and it's probably the fastest growing luxe region in Australia with all the pandemic migration- so people definitely enjoy their goodies no matter the weather!
I hope you get to go visit Aotearoa again soon! Heard they just lifted their covid test requirements for entering so it'll be much easier
