Hi ladies…

I haven’t been too active as my girl caught covid from sch last Friday (first case in our family) when I got a call late morning to go pick her up…she went to the “covid” section in sch as she had a sore throat and feeling hot/cold…I just got a shock had no idea what to do so had to go get her and coz my nephew (same sch and class) lives with me had to get him too…so sil and fil drop us…

And the fun begins….took a rapid test and the T line was faint (ironically she was due to take her second dose that same day and hubby went to take his booster) so he was coming home and we all went to take a PCR nearby (first for hubby and I) got negatives for both of us that evening via text but daughter got positive next morning…but we isolated her since we came home…she’s a trooper lucky she plays a lot of Roblox so she’s happy to be stuck in her room. She mask up..we mask up when she comes in our room coz we share the bathroom…so much going on…gave her food on paper plates and cups and medication…she’s the minority of kids who wear masks to sch and she caught it….she had piano lessons that morning and when I text her teacher she replied her two kids (in same school as her)also tested positive the night before…so many questions but it’s already happened…

Rule here is to isolate for 7 days since the test taken and take another rapid test on day 6 if negative can leave the house after isolating for 7 days..i miscounted and tested her on Monday..wrong move..very dark lines….so heart sank..never had to use so much Glen 20, antibacterial wipes , washing my hands so many times until they crack and wear masks at home…but today is iso day 6 so I decided to test her…after she gave me the stick I was shaking she said “mum relax”…and it came out negative..I gave her the thumbs up but should have waited until tomorrow coz she can come out of iso on Sat.. anyway one more day and she’s free and can go back to sch for 4 days lol and it’s end of term 1….I had to hand wash her clothes every night with gloves..I’m so tired..we all are and negative rapid test is the best news so far for us and rest of the fam bam tested negative..

Looking forward to hugging her and also our staycation next week. Cases here have gone up due the new B2 variant..when will it all end?

I get really sad when I hear children catching Covid. In fact I'd be really happy if Covid disappears and everyone can get back our pre Covid days. On the brightside it is encouraging to learn your daughter is doing well on the recovery journey. She sure has a lovely mum and family. Take care and looking forward to visiting Australia in the near future! :smile:

P.S. I am watching Love Island Australia - back to back episodes :biggrin:

Thank you so much! Yes, luxury shopping should be a nice feeling and not leaving such a bad taste. I’m already feeling better today! :hugs:
