I am a big fan of browns. I love Martha Stewart's famous brown birkin. Anyone know what leather & color it could be?

Yup, she bought it in St. Barths, where they have the cutest H store. I love that one! yes, it's porc.

gazoo, I am afraid I can't help you do this with the flair like some of the other tPFers. My descriptions of colours are always way off. I can't see undertones, when alot of ladies here can. I am always wondering like "what undertones" "what overtones". Very duh of me. And I also do not own all the browns.

But I can do it simplistically, and based on the limited colours I own and what I can recall from the swatches at my store ...

- Ebene to me, is the darkest brown there is. I call it a black kind of brown.
- Marron Fonce, also a dark brown is a couple of notches down from Ebene. I have only seen MF in Togo, in a Ulysee PM. One day, I may want to own MF in Fjord in a bag ... I have heard a friend refer to it as a brown in dark chocolate
- Havanne - it's reddish brown
- Chocolate is chocolate ... Milk chocolate
- Cafe ... I remember tPFers not agreeing with this ... to me, Cafe is no difference from Chocolate. They are so close when I look at them. To be specific, I have put a Chocolate Togo swatch and Cafe Clemence swatch side by side, and I still think they are alike.

This is what I suspected, that Cafe and Chocolate are so close as to be interchangeable. Thanks again MrsSparkles. You are a doll!

Oooh I have that very same marron fonce Kelly. Gorgeous bag. I was never a brown bag girl but I think now I am. H has so many varieties of brown!
