Eternity Rings - are channel set ones safer?

I'm in the market to buy myself a WG, inexpensive, petite eternity ring as a spacer between my 18K e-ring and plat wedding band.

Are Channel set ones safer than buying prong set ones?

Safer for your other rings and for the girdles, yes. But so are fishtail pave ones.

I think there is def more protection with channel set bands as there's more metal.

With Shared settings you see more "diamond" & less metal.

Both are equally beautiful!

I was in a similar dilemma myself, but finally settled on a shared setting & will be custom-ordering a specially made "narrow" plat spacer for added protection. (thanks Ame & Frankie!)
