I am thinking Solitaire. I like the way that they emphasise the Diamond. I would prefer Platinum, as yearly Rhodium dipping doesn't seem appealing.

That being said, I have said I can upgrade it at a later date.

I vote for the 1, 3, 4.

i LOVE the last one but you might be waiting a while since that's a mark morrell and to be quite honest, I would never let another jeweler, GOG or otherwise, set my diamond in that setting. I would want Mark doing it.

Ok. I am set on the 6 Prong Platinum setting!!

In terms of 'haggling' - what would you haggle from 5600 to (obviously, I know as low as possible, but I am unsure of the price of jewelry. Other things I know the price of, and therefore can haggle successfully :) )

I always try for 10% off. So, you would maybe ask for 5000 even.

Don't be surprised if they won't haggle. If you are getting online pricing, there is not much room for negotiation. I've bought from Jonathan in the past.

I have the ring!!

Sorry for the lack of updates. Life has been a little busy lately. After talks with my GF, and a little ring shopping, I settled on the 4 prong platinum setting. It looks really nice; I am very pleased. The only thing I am concerned about is a little nick on the ring. I noticed it straight away once I looked at the ring.
