Woo hoo!
No seriously credit where credits due she was instrumental turning mulberry into a coveted designer label. But in the process unfortunately alienated a lot of loyal fans who weren't interested in the next 'it' bag to be seen on arm of a towie z lister. It will be very interesting to see where they go from here, price increases and no Emma Hill- they'll need to pull something out of a hat.

Sadly it will,be a further move away from what mulberry was all about for me ....no more middle,England more like trying to conquer the world....I'm out

I loved a lot of her designs as the older mulberry styles (except bays) were not for me.
I did not agree with the use of fur on last year's catwalk either but I love lily and daria which are her styles.
The disagreement due to operational and creative differences interests me especially if she does go to coach.
Have mulberry priced her out as well? Haha.
Anyways I think she did a great job, I loved the quirkiness and sense of humour so I am sad to see her go.

I love the Alexa, I think it's a classic satchel and will, along with the Lily as a classic small bag, be the lasting design from this era. Some of the other stuff has left me cold, but you can't expect to like everything.

I thought her comment about seeing Mulberry as 'warm and fuzzy' was interesting as it does feel like its becoming slightly more clinical in its ethos, as materials and designs and prices change. i feel it's about pure luxury rather than British quirkiness under the new guy. that might be a hint about those differences?

I often pick up a leather Coach bag (don't like the signature stuff with the logos) when I'm in the States and had expected to do so when there last month, but there was just something 'off' about the bags this time - the proportions seemed odd and they just didn't appeal. Would be interested to see how that would change if Emma took the helm. I think Coach is trying to move more upmarket so I could see her Mulberry experience giving them scope to do so.

Well said armcandy3 i agree too xxxx

I think Emma ruined Mulberry (not all worth is monetary) and the damage has been done. I do have a few Hill-era bags (Lily, Del Reys big and small) but they are on the more tame end of the Emma spectrum.

Under Monsieur Ex-Hermes Guillon, although I hope it will lose the self-conscious wackiness, it will become completely unrecognisable from Roger Saul's original English pastoral vision. It may produce more classic bags which are more to my taste but I'm pretty sure they'll be way outside my budget.

I'm surprised but with this new guy pushing for more luxury then it was envitable. I found her to be a bit too gimmiky especially at the fashion shows - flowers, gnomes, daisies etc.

Oh my...
My other favorite brand is Coach. I have two amazing bags and was hoping to add more to my family but if she goes there their prices will become astronomical just like Mulberry. Yes, it would be interesting to see her designs, but the leathers are gorgeous and excellent at the moment and I am just afraid she'll ruin that by starting to use more fur, ostrich and lizard leathers.

I greatly enjoyed Emma's time at Mulberry - all nine of my bags were under her tenure. I just thought she was witty, refreshing and had a playful sense of style. I'm a fangirl all the way. With the price rises the way they are, it could be my only Mulberries will be Emma's. http://thealphacameo.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/in-praise-of-emma-hill.html

I loved the blog post. I really loved the range of colours too. Although I was sensible and bought the classic colours first, the first mulberry that made my heart race was eggplant bays. Wow I just loved it. Then on to electric blue which I love and Black Forest.... The colours were amazing. Even my latest babies are beautiful, the grainy print leather just looks and feels like class :-)

Maloneyxo like you I loved the gimmicks as I have quite a playful personality. Hehe.
