I just heard from my SA there will be no waitlist and there is also a limit to purchases now. Does anyone know about this?
That’s what they have told me regarding the reserve system going away. I’ve heard people mention the 2 bags/month (12/year total) change to now 1 bags/month but haven’t gotten that far to confirm since I’m banned from buying now.

Putting the purchaser’s name on the authentication card does not deter resellers. Nowadays, the demand for stainless sports models is through the roof, many collectors are buying them because they have preferential access and are reselling them at a profit despite the name on the card.

The name on the card makes no difference really, when you service your Rolex, they don’t even require for it to be sent in with the card.

If you buy a resale watch than do they give you the other person's card? I have never bought resale. I don't like resale. Maybe the hunt is what I like more. It seems impossible to get one from the AD these days do you have any suggestions?

Did this just start? Oh no sorry for you if you buy 2 bags you can't buy for 2 months? Is that what you mean by being banned? If so maybe it will help with resellers and customers will be able to get more of what they want rather than having to settle for one or pay extra for a resale item. The resellers will always find ways around it. If there is no waitlist how do we get a bag we want?

No I am banned because I cannot purchase over the phone since I live in a non-sales tax state. They will not ship to me. (See original post)

When I was able to purchase, the limit is 2 bags per month. The maximum in the classic collection you can purchase in a year is 12 bags; this has been confirmed by multiple SA and has been a known policy in the U.S. for awhile now.

Per my SA, no reserve lists and they will be sold in person, first come first serve. (Again, I’ve seen people say they have been able to reserve items anyway, but I’m just repeating what I’ve been told by SA.)

I went into my local boutique (got there about 10 minutes before opening) and saw an SA taking a photo and wrapping up a beige small 19 and putting it in a box to ship. So I think it is still YMMV with that.

Established customers whose purchase history includes many items, not just "hot bags" should be able to purchase if they live in non-tax states. That sucks. Hopefully there is some flexibility in the near future with that policy.

Sorry, no recommendations... but yes, the resellers give you the card with the other persons name on it...

As for sourcing the sports models, I’ve heard that the islands such as st marteen and St. Thomas still have a pretty good selection. Unless you have a good relationship with an AD, it’s very hard nowadays...

I feel bad for the actual collectors, but this is also good I guess so we don’t have to deal with these greedy resellers anymore!

I do buy a lot of cosmetics/skincare from Chanel though so I’m not sure if the 40-product limit is a good idea.
I agree with the bag/accessories purchase limit actually! But the cosmetic limit is peculiar to me... Most of us would need to repurchase our regular products, not to mention buying gifts for friends and family or just trying new products..

If I ask my husband to purchase the bag for me if I've already reached my limit, would that work? We of course share the same billing/shipping address.
Yes, so theoretically the "limit" is really 24. Also if you are part of the boutique order, you should still be able to get whatever the boutique ordered for you.

not limited to 24, if you have your mom, your dad, your sister/Brother, your kids (if older than 18)/friends if you are able to create a profile in system. so people can still buy multiples :)
