Edgy pearl jewelry?

I love pearls in general but i always feel matronly with regular pearl strands. And it doesn't fit my style which is sort of all black, edgy, lot of artisan style silver jewelry.
Are there styles with pearls especially necklaces, which look modern and edgy instead of classic?
Please post pics if you know of any styles or any companies who would be good to shop for something like that!

I think what Marla Aaron does with pearls looks great! I’ve replicated the look by replacing the clasp of some vintage pearls with jump rings and used carabiners from Etsy. Here some inspo:

Tiffany hardwear has a lot of edgy pearl creations. The designs look very fresh and modernized to me. Very robust, instead of delicate.

I immediately thought of the Tiffany Hardwear with pearls also, though I absolutely love the vintage pearls redone with new temporary modern clasps. I have several dressy pearl sets that I never wear and this could be a fun way to use them.

I have round south sea, but don’t wear them often bc I feel they can be matronly. Baroque can be more edgy. I custom ordered white gold chain with black baroque pearls from my jeweler. Sometimes mixing different sizes or types of pearls helps. a fun ring from a small designer And a strand of graduated mixed grey black tahitian

Oh, this is so interesting! The founder, Hisano Shepherd, is the wife of the founder of Pearl Paradise, Jeremy! I have bought so many items from Pearl Paradise and I had no idea Hisano has her own enterprise too! Strange that they don't seem to do any cross-marketing
