well, she certainly isn't doing this for the money...she is a very wealthy woman by most anyone's account.
it is sad that he would deny so publicly, and make her go through all of this alone.

I don't understand how he could of just turned on her in that way especially since he knew they were going to have a baby together! His behavior was inexcusable, I just hope he tries to make up for it by supporting his child!
I agree that she certainly doesn't need the money; that's not why she pushed this issue. She made a big deal of it because of the way he treated her and denied her baby so she could be publicly vindicated.
Yes, she shouldn't have been pregnant after dating him for such a short time, but that was his responsibility, too. It takes two and he had better step up.

based on all this fuss he started, i would just take him for his cash and that is that. he could have done all this in style but his child will know at some stage about this publicity stunt he pulled (and to me this is all he did, I mean it wasn't necessary to turn this into a public circus on either side - pretty much like Liz Hurley at the time

I think it was stupid of Eddie to be so vocal about the baby not being his because he just looks like an idiot and a bastard now. OK, ask for a paternity test but don't go around saying that you don't know who's baby it is etc etc - he hasn't done himself any favours.
I don't think Mel will ask for money from him at all, she just wanted to be able to put his name on the Birth Certificate for Angel and for her to know who her father is (and for the world to know too!).
