Does anyone have any pointers on buying Coach handbags on Ebay? I've seen a link for recommended sellers... but I was looking for some type of advice on what to look out for when making the decision to bid on an item.

(Also, if this has already been a thread item... then please post the link).

Thanks!

******************.

Check for Hangtags, Dustbags, etc (not all bags come with dust bags).

Check seller's Feedback and Feedback left for others.

Make sure you are seeing photos of the item you are buying (not stock photos or stolen photos). There should be 6-16 photos of the bag.

Check the shipping price. Shipping is expensive for alot of Coach Bags because they are big and don't fit into the standard sized boxes check to see if the seller will ship parcel post. Oversized boxes going Coast to Coast Priority mail can cost $40 or more.

See if the seller relists "sold bags" - watch for indications of shill bidding.

If you are sensitive to odors, ask first (cigarette odors, allergies to pets, etc).

Don't buy a bag you aren't familiar with. Color varies on monitors. Check the strap drop and the size (compare bag measurements to a sheet of paper).

Make sure it is the bag you want. Sellers don't like to take returns.

Be a good buyer. Contact the seller before leaving negative or neutral feedback.

Don't ding the seller's stars unless it is a really bad issue. Like they charge $30 for shipping and they throw it in an envelope costing seller $5 to ship. Either give 5's or leave no stars.

Thanks for the information and advice!

Either give 5's or leave no stars.

GREAT advice. This is true in other places, too! I used to work for CVS and occasionally customers would get an incentive on their receipt to call a number and give feeback on the store's employees. The store manager told us that only 5's counted, even 4's could hurt the store. I've remembered that still to this day and either give 5 or nothing.
