no communication at all. a week and a handful of emails requesting payment later, finally dropped a note saying her account was hacked, and she did not bid on my item. yeah... she wasn't so hacked buying other stuff at the same time...

If you sell and item on e bay BEWARE of Chargebacks, a new SCAM! It happened to me! You sell and item, buyer pays with credit card, receives item, files chargeback with credit card company and e bay (item is not as described...uses exact words). Credit card company refunds money to buyer, buyer keeps item, pay-pal finds in favor of buyer since they really don't have much defense againt the 'large' credit card companies. (after all they are their best friend) Money, additional fees were taken out of my account without me even aware of it. My account was frozen for at least a week. Huge mess. Big scam. Seller will loose every time. I was out the cost of the item, $280, e bay fees, pay-pal fees, then I was charged fees for the dispute! (since she filed directly with AMEX I had no defense!) Trust me. Read forum under "Chargebacks", in Paypal! I quit selling, it is not worth it!

Is it a particular buyer who is doing this repeatedly? I would think that too many chargebacks would raise a red flag with the c.c. company (and with Paypal).

Thats scary. I am a regular seller on ebay.

Add: ladycee07. She swooped in at the very last minute on a luxury item and told me a very, very sad story and instructed me to send her a transaction cancellation request and that she would be waiting for it to cancel and for me to just second chance the bidder below her bid. What guts................So I had to do, what a seller has to do and open a case. I was not gonna pay $50 for the Final Value Fee. I won. :yahoo:

Made an offer on an expensive designer handbag on bonanzle. After I accepted, she said she couldn't pay for five days and then kept delaying payment until she eventually ignored my messages altogether.

She never paid after 2 invoices and 2 emails. Then she finally responds asks for extra time and says she will pay at x day at x time. So, I give her the benefit of the doubt and wait.

NO payment. NO communication. NADA. Filed a NPB case.

sent 3 invoices, 1 after the auction ended, another 48hrs after auction end, sent email stating that i would file a non-paying-bidder strike, she replies asking to pay on Monday, one week after auction had ended. I agree and waited. Sent her invoice on Monday, still no payment on Tuesday, so I filed against her.

Complete waste of time and effort.
