This sounds like the last episode I had when selling barely used designer items on ebay. One bidder won designer sunglasses I was selling. Never heard from them nor did they pay, and I gave them 4 days to contact me. Never did respond. I had this same thing happen once before (I sell usually once a year on ebay). I felt the potential sunglass buyer was just playing around making bids but was never serious about purchasing. I ended up canceling the auction, requesting a refund of ebay fees, and gave the item away, chalking it up to good will. I always sell authentic items and actually over-disclose any wear on the item, to a fault. I am honest Abe, but there are scammers out there, and they are not just on ebay. My advice when purchasing on ebay, is to look at the person's feedback. I make a rule to never purchase from anyone with a feedback of less than 90%. I also look at the seller's numbers of items sold....if they have sold 1,500 items (as example) and have an 89% rating, I don't worry. In this case a lot of items have been sold and there are always people who are going to complain about something to ruin your rating. As a purchaser, I've never been stung, because I only deal with sellers that have a really good rating. As a seller, I remain a 100% rating because I sell the way I'd want to be treated when purchasing. However, not all people are honest. This is a major pity.
