I've just sold my second item ever on ebay. I notice when they calculate their commission the include the price of shipping. that doesn't seem right to me. but I guess there's no way around it. the seller pays me for shipping and they consider that the money I got even though I have to give it back to ebay when I print the label

It’s been this way for years. Prior, people would list an item for $.01 with $4999.99 shipping.
Oh it’s even worse- eBay fees are calculated to include what the buyer pays in tax . I usually estimate that I will net 80% of what I list my item for
hahaha, that was so funny and almost stupid to charge shipping for that much, can you imagine what kind of review sellers like that would get?
