Elle - have you test drove the ford edge? My mom just got one a couple months ago and its really nice.

I cant believe you exed the BMW right away on your list!! LOL OK maybe I am just a little hurt because I have a BMW.

EDIT: IF you drove the x3 I can see, but I love the x5 but that might be too big for you?

Wow sorry I ask a question and then forget to check back! :shame:

Anyway, wow you drive 25k a year?! What do you drive so much for??

Well, I live outside of town... in the country.. which means miles. AND in my job, I spend alot of time in the car. Typically 100 miles a day, M-F, easy.
Which is one reason I want a NICE car.. I live in the darn thing.

MMM- I hope you had a lovely time in NO! I'm sure it was a blast and quite a change of pace. Any photos to post?

Expat- Love your convertible!

IO4M- The proposal was a cute movie. Predictable (as most of that genre are) but I thought it was really cute and pretty funny. And Ryan Reynolds is so adorable...completely drool worthy!
ETA: I see that you are watching it now!!!

I liked the X5 too but my BF has one and she has already had to take it in 4 times for different problems. I have heard that it isn't uncommon. It was always covered under her warranty but it was the time...plus when she had to bring it in they gave her a loner car with huge letters on the side that said "INTERNATIONAL AUTOS COURTESY VEHICLE" which wasn't the best for meeting with clients!

It's time to play - Stay or Go! Ok, I love this little bag, operative word little. Of all the LV cerises bags, I thought this one was the most adult looking and gorgeous. But it has seen the light of day twice in the past year and I am wondering if it is time to move on. What are all of the fine hat head ladies opinions on bag usage vs. closet trophy?

LOVE that bag, but if you don't use it I think it would be wise to let it go! It is HTF though, but think of all the bags you could reinvest the funds in !!! I agree it is the most adult looking of the cerises, and that lizard! I don't know...I'd be torn. I think you need to post a collection thread so I can drooooooooolllll

Sav, I vote you have to keep this incredible work of ART! Hang it from a nice hook on your wall (put a frame around it even???) and it will be a key piece in your art collection. Repeat, do not let go...

*yawn* Morning.

Pup gets me up at 6am. I don't get to bed until 1am. I am exhausted. DH won't help out, grr. But pup is wonderful!

After all this and when I've finished my work I will treat myself to another pearl necklace - this one I want to try and design myself.

Anyone have any ideas? I want a black and white 17/18" one.

Hi Carol. Good that Kita is wonderful!

Hopefully your guests are a little self sufficient. I am sure there are small side trips they'd enjoy. Japan is perfect for the 1 day side trip.

Necklace wise, have you ever seen the necklace constructing section at Tokyu Hands. I see women in there all the time selecting what they want from a rather amazing range of beads and pearls. You get to sit on a nice chair while the consultant discusses exactly what you want ( well in my case I'd be pretty sparse on the talk and big on the pointing - still working on my Japanese!). Then they construct the necklace for you. I have no idea how far upmarket you are trying to go with your necklace, but I have seen some rather amazing things being constructed there. There are hundreds of variations of beads and stones on long strings. Might be worth the cost. Also, while you are still here, if you have old pearls that need restringing, this is the country to do it in...

MMMSC - Totally jealous! Adore New Orleans! Are things back to normal since Katrina or did you see signs of businesses not returning?

EM - My heart goes out to you. I loathe car shopping. I am sure you will find something after driving 25 cars!

Expat - Your convertible Celica is very cool! How is the pup?

AC - Your Infiniti looks VERY nice!

Northerndancer - You must have the most beautiful kitchen knobs on the planet!

Shinymagpie - How are your pups?

Pegasuscom - Pups are good thanks! Had their second injections. We can take them walking in a couple of weeks! Yay.

^^Luckily my BF had it so I thought I might as well watch it:p

I guess it all depends on the actual car itself, not so much the brand? I had a bmw for 3 years and never once had to take it in, except for the yearly maintainance(oil change, breaks flushed) and never had to pay a dime. Now I have another one and have had it over a year and have yet to do anything to it. I am not sure why hers had that huge writing on it?? Here it just has a little number with a circle around it in the back window?
