Hello, I scored a vintage Celine that has very dry straps. They are dry, brittle and cracked. I have cleaned and conditioned three times. I even put a thick layer of mink oil and let it sit for a few weeks with no improvement , it only made the straps darker. Should I just replace them? Any suggestions?

As someone who has done my fair share of rehabbing my vintage bags, dry is one thing, but brittle and cracked (in my experience) can’t be remedied.

If you can, have the straps replaced.
