Does your Louis Vuitton dust bag says 'Made In India'?
I randomly looked at the tag inside the dust bag. It says:

100% Cotton
Made in India

That's strange... I never knew LV would associate with India? And no my LV is not a replica and I bought my LV item at the real boutique.

I could be wrong here, but I got the impression the initial poster was worried about authenticity of her LV bag based on the fact that the dustbag was manufactured separately from her handbag. Hope we all put her mind at ease that her dustbag is as authentic as her handbag. :smile1:

As long as the dust bag is of good quality, I dun really bother where it is made.

That being said, I prefer the old brown soft bags they had previously, not a fan of the thin yellow ones they are giving out now.

My dust bag could be from Mars and I wouldn't really care. Not a concern at all.

Think of it like this: You buy a lamp online made from USA and the bubble wrap and box is made from China. Doesn't mean that the lamp is from China, right?


As we can see not everything little LV thing is made from Spain, USA and Italy. As long as the main product is (bag, shoes and etc.) I believe we are all content:p

P.S. NOT TO SOUND SNOBBY but I have seen some people using their dust bags (esp the draw string ones) as real bags to walk around... Just had to vent that out somewhere lol

Hello all,

I know the authentic dust bags have labels. But have they always had labels or is this a new thing? I'm thinking of buying dust bags online. I asked the seller if hers have the made in india label and she said

"hi we only have LV not full name. the tag inside is not only made in india, some made in italy some made in spain some dont have but these are all authentic you'll see when you get it because fake one the material is different. thanks"

Is this true? I thought they only the full name Louis Vuitton ones had tags and those tags were always 100% cotton made in India?

I don't care. All my newer yellow ones were made in India. The old brown one I had was made in Italy and I like the new yellow dust bags better. This yellow cleaning Louis Vuitton cloth that is the same material as all my other dust bags that came with my bag is made in Italy. I think all of today's dust bags are made in India.

My dust bag only says 100% cotton. Does this mean it's fake!? I bought my speedy 30 on eBay. The eBay service told me the bag appears to be authentic. After receiving the bag and going through checks at home from website helps, everything appears to be in line except for the dust bag. I still plan to take it to the LV store to be sure but any thoughts?

No. ALL authentic LV dust bags are made out of 100% cotton. There is no need to worry!

If you are unsure, get it authenticated here at: http://forum.purseblog.com/louis-vu...lv-read-rules-use-format-post-1-a-760820.html, but I assure you, authentic dust bags are made out 100% cotton.

Yes, my authentic MIF Speedy 30 purchased from the Hotel Vancouver boutique in February of this year came with a dustbag that said Made in India.

I know the dust bags are 100% cotton, but mine doesnt say where it's made which is why I'm worried! Where is it supposed to say made in India at? Ps. I'm taking It to the store tonight to find out if it's real or not.

Hi Kimberlyjeane, I have sent you a visitor msg regarding this problem. Anyways, did they help you to find out? I received my LV wallets and checked the dust bag. It says "100% cotton". I thought its supposed to say "made in India". My other three dust bags I got from Toronto LV store, two say "100% cotton made in india", one says "100% cotton made in Spain". Would you keep me posted? Thank you.

I bought my bag from eBay so I was worried about the dustbag because all it said was 100% cotton. I found out my speedy 30 is definitely authentic but still not sure if the dust bag is or not! I don't care though as long as the bag is! :)
