Does anyone own an Evercalf?

I went to the store and tried again the Kelly 32 Retourné in Evercalf. Gorgeous leather...!

Reading through your posts, it kind of feels like you are forcing yourself to like it.

Thank you Israeli_Flava. I am so indecisive, which is quite unusual for me when it comes to bags! Maybe it is the sign I shouldn't buy it. I really think the bag is gorgeous but it isn't box leather...

I’m in the market for a Constance - was hoping Epsom leather in craie
Then suddenly realized maybe I will get more use with a darker color ?
im now thinking black and would go preloved at this point

wHat would be a better leather for the Constance box or evercalf?
I have a BBK so aware of box patina and shine !
I don’t have an evercalf bag !

I have a Box Kelly and also just bought an Evercalf Constance a few weeks ago. Having compared both leathers, I find Evercalf quite similar to Box in the smoothness and shinyness characters. The main difference for me is Box is a lot more rigid and structured while Evercalf is so buttery soft! Both will develop light scratches quite easily. I suggest you really give Evercalf a try in store.

Overall to me the 2 leathers are not too different but the style of Kelly they come in are very different. A Box Kelly will look more structured and will not look too slouchy over time while an Evercalf Kelly will look very slouchy over time due to the softness of the leather.
